For context, Epic’s September 12, 2017 v1.6 notes announced the public test of Battle Royale and said the mode was planned to become officially available on September 26. The official records cited here establish two points: Epic announced the potion for Battle Royale on December 19, 2017, and Epic’s Creative documentation later describes its Creative mechanics.
