Epic has not published a fixed return interval for Fortnite skins. The Item Shop’s rotation time tells you when the shop turns over, while an item’s description page gives its planned departure date. Neither tells you when that cosmetic will return after it leaves.
What Fortnite’s shop rotation time tells you
Epic said on April 9, 2024, alongside update v29.20, that it removed the overall Shop refresh timer and instead displays the shop rotation time in each player’s unique time zone. That is the time for the shop to turn over—not a countdown to a particular skin’s next appearance. See Epic’s announcement about Shop and Locker changes.

How to check when a listed cosmetic is planned to leave
In the same announcement, Epic said it would begin adding planned rotation-out dates to individual cosmetic description pages in late May 2024. Check the item’s description page in the game for its planned departure date, and use the shop’s rotation display to see when the shop turns over. The announcement does not establish a fixed daily clock time that applies to every player.

A planned departure date is not a return date. Epic’s announcement does not give a guaranteed schedule, published average interval, or other fixed timetable for when an individual skin will appear again. A skin’s past appearances or time away from the shop cannot, on the evidence in that announcement, be treated as a promise about its next return.

Do cosmetic series predict how often items return?
Epic notes that Fortnite cosmetics span multiple games and that labels such as Icon Series and Gaming Legends Series remain ways to find items. The announcement does not say those labels determine how often a cosmetic returns. A series label is not a published return schedule.
