What happens if someone uses unauthorized cheats?
Epic says Code of Conduct violations are reviewed case by case; consequences can range from a warning to a permanent ban. In a 2025 update, Epic said a first cheating ban blocks matchmaking into Epic- or creator-made experiences during the ban. The specific outcome depends on the case and applicable enforcement.
Epic has described anti-cheat measures at a high level, but its Terms of Service says it does not have to disclose the specific tools or devices it detects or how its gameplay-integrity systems work. There is no reliable public basis for claiming exactly how a particular cheat will be detected or evaded.

How to find current seasonal details
Because the Sprite mechanic is tied to a named season, do not assume it remains available in later Fortnite seasons. Check the live game and Epic’s current v42.00 Fortnite Override update notes for the feature’s stated locations and operation.
