1. Check whether the request is for a full page
Thumbalizr distinguishes size=page from size=screen. The former requests a full-page capture; the latter captures the visible browser screen. The free-tier demo describes its capture as “Screen size, no full page.” If the image ends at approximately the viewport boundary, verify the requested mode before changing browser dimensions or treating the result as an error.

Thumbalizr’s feature table lists full-page capture for Silver, Gold, and Platinum; its free tier is screen-size only. If your account is free, changing the request to size=page may not override that restriction. Check the current plan features on Thumbalizr’s plans and feature page before upgrading, since plan details and prices can change.

The page lists Silver and higher tiers as supporting full-page capture. It also lists browser dimensions of 1280×1024 for Free and Silver, configurable ranges for Gold and Platinum, and monthly screenshot quantities and prices. Those values are subject to change; confirm the live plan table for the current offer. Browser width and height set the capture context, but changing them does not itself enable full-page mode.
3. Check whether page content needs more time to render
If the captured page includes its top section but content that appears later is missing, inspect the delay setting. Thumbalizr documents a delay from 1 to 30 seconds; Free and Silver have a five-second default, while Gold and Platinum permit a custom delay. Increasing it is a reasonable test for late-rendering content, but Thumbalizr does not promise that a longer wait will fix every incomplete capture.

4. Read the response status before diagnosing a failed capture
For API captures, inspect the response headers:
X-Thumbalizr-Status: QUEUEDmeans processing is still underway.X-Thumbalizr-Status: OKmeans the requested thumbnail is done.X-Thumbalizr-Status: FAILEDmeans the capture failed. CheckX-Thumbalizr-Errorfor the stated failure reason.
A result marked OK can still reflect a screen-size request or an account limitation; a FAILED result should be investigated using the error header rather than by guessing at a cause.

Thumbalizr says request parameters must be encoded correctly, especially the target url. Also review bwidth and bheight, which define the browser viewport; documented limits and defaults vary by plan. These settings can affect what is visible or how the page lays out, but they do not replace selecting full-page capture or having an eligible tier.
Thumbalizr documents US and Germany as country choices and advises contacting the service for other locations. Its feature page lists US or European browser selection for Gold and Platinum. A different country or a larger viewport is not, by itself, a fix for a request configured to capture only the screen.

What can and cannot be determined from the screenshot alone
The image by itself does not establish why a particular capture stopped early. The key details are the requested size, account tier, profile defaults, and API response headers. Without the target URL, request, tier, and headers, it is not possible to identify the specific cause.
