If MLB.TV audio is out of sync, first switch to another broadcast feed and compare playback on another app or device. That quickly separates a feed-specific problem from a delay introduced by your TV, receiver, or speaker setup. MLB’s viewing instructions document feed switching, but not a manual audio-offset slider.
Step 1: Find out whether the delay is in the feed or your setup
Use the MLB.TV player’s Broadcast control to switch to another available video or audio feed. Then play another title in MLB.TV and, if possible, try a different streaming app on the same device.

- Only one MLB.TV feed is out of sync: The problem may be specific to that feed or its service path.
- Several apps or titles are affected on one device: Your TV, receiver, soundbar, or speaker setup is a more likely place to look.
- The problem changes when you switch devices: Focus on the original device or its connected audio equipment.
MLB explains how to select available feeds in its viewing instructions; they do not describe a control for manually offsetting audio.
Step 2: Adjust the playback device’s audio sync
If the mismatch follows one TV or playback setup across multiple apps, open the TV or receiver’s Audio or Sound settings. Look for a control named A/V Sync, Audio Delay, or Lip-sync. Make small adjustments, then retest the same scene. The correct direction depends on whether sound is early or late, and the available controls vary by model.

Roku’s A/V sync troubleshooting guidance notes that picture processing and audio transcoding can contribute to a mismatch. For sound that arrives before the picture, Roku suggests disabling advanced picture processing. For sound that arrives after the picture, its guidance includes trying PCM digital audio or turning off Game Mode. These options are model-dependent; check your device’s instructions before changing them.
If you use Apple TV 4K
Apple documents a calibration for timing between wired and wireless speakers: go to Settings > Video and Audio > Calibration > Wireless Audio Sync and use an iPhone as directed. See the Apple TV 4K user guide for details. This addresses speaker timing in that playback setup; it is not a guaranteed correction for an MLB.TV feed that is itself misaligned.

Step 3: Check stream stability, then contact MLB if one feed stays out of sync
If the video also buffers or stutters, check the connection. MLB recommends testing and restarting the network, improving Wi-Fi signal, checking bandwidth, or using a direct network connection where possible. If you are using a cellular hotspot or satellite connection, MLB’s public-network guidance suggests trying Wi-Fi or LAN instead. These checks address stream stability; they do not establish that the network caused a steady, feed-specific audio offset.

If the same MLB.TV feed remains out of sync after you compare feeds and devices, contact MLB support. Include the game and feed, your device and app or operating-system versions, whether sound comes before or after the picture, and whether other feeds or apps have the same problem. Those details help distinguish a feed issue from a playback-device issue.

Choose the right troubleshooting branch
Use these comparisons to decide what to try next:
- One game or feed versus several: A mismatch confined to one feed points toward that feed or service path; a broader problem warrants checking playback equipment.
- MLB.TV versus other apps: If other apps also drift, focus on the device’s sync settings. If they stay aligned, compare MLB.TV feeds.
- One playback device versus more than one: A problem limited to one device suggests its settings or connected audio equipment.
- Sound early versus late: Note the direction before changing a delay control, since device options and their effects differ.
MLB’s published troubleshooting does not establish a current service-wide defect or promise that a local setting will correct a feed-side mismatch.
