Start with the One UI 9 features that solve everyday tasks: keeping a person in frame while filming, tailoring your daily summary, checking device support, getting help in a conversation, and following translated exchanges. Samsung announced the stable rollout began with the Galaxy S26 series on September 16, 2026; the software debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8, and Z Flip8, with updates expected gradually on other Galaxy devices. Availability is not universal, and Samsung says features can vary by country, region, language, model, and app. Samsung’s rollout announcement lists the feature conditions in detail.
1. My FanCam: keep a person in frame
My FanCam tracks a selected person in recorded video and intelligently reframes footage as the scene moves. Try it when filming a performer, a family gathering, or a sports moment where the subject may move around the frame. Samsung says a Samsung Account is required. The feature may not work for every video, footage without a trackable subject is unsupported, and Samsung does not guarantee tracking accuracy.
2. Editable Now Brief cards: make the summary yours
Now Brief presents a daily summary, and One UI 9 lets users choose among cards such as health, weather, and video. That makes it more useful if you want the brief to reflect your routines and interests rather than show a fixed selection. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 beta feature update also describes cards tailored to routines and interests: Samsung Mobile Press.
Now Brief requires a Samsung Account. Its functions vary by country, region, language, model, and app; some features need a network connection. Samsung says generated content uses personal information provided with consent and is not guaranteed to be accurate.

3. Warranty and Care: check support from Settings
Warranty and Care brings device-support tools into Settings. Samsung says users can review warranty coverage across connected mobile devices, run self-diagnostics, view repair estimates, manage Samsung Care+, or book service. It is a practical place to start when you need to check support for a linked device. The available controls and any repair estimate, Care+ coverage, pricing, eligibility, or service fee depend on the market and device; the feature does not promise a particular cost or coverage decision.
4. Now Nudge: get relevant help inside a conversation
Now Nudge is designed to surface useful details without making you leave the task. In Samsung’s example, a conversation about plans can bring up reservation details or let you save a location someone shared. Samsung lists Samsung Messages, Google Messages, and Google Chat as examples of messaging apps that support text prompts. A Samsung Account is required, supported apps and availability vary, and suggested results are not guaranteed accurate.

5. Interpreter Thread View: look back at translated exchanges
Interpreter’s new Thread View lets you refer to earlier exchanges during a translated conversation, which can help when you need to check what was said before replying. Samsung also says Conversation Mode translation is faster and playback is quicker when used with compatible Galaxy Buds. Some languages require a downloaded language pack, and availability varies by language, feature, region, and carrier. Translation accuracy is not guaranteed.
What to know about One UI 9 availability
Samsung describes One UI 9 as based on Android 17 in its May 12, 2026 beta announcement, which initially covered the Galaxy S26 series in select beta markets. Samsung later expanded the beta to select Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, S25-series, and S25 FE devices in select markets. Those beta announcements describe a past testing program, not the current stable rollout schedule or a complete list of eligible devices. The stable rollout began with the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra on September 16, 2026; Samsung says One UI 9 had debuted on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8, and Z Flip8, and that updates for other Galaxy devices would roll out gradually.
