Its feature information spells out those PDF capabilities and batch options, though availability depends on the edition. Nimbus Screenshot is now presented in the current Chrome listing as FuseBase Pro; it confirms saving captures to PDF and adds a broader workflow for annotation, sharing, recording, and guides, but gives fewer details about PDF text and page controls. Neither has been independently tested here, so check a representative page in your own browser before relying on the result.
Which should you choose for webpage PDFs?
- Choose FireShot when PDF output is the main job. Its vendor documentation explicitly lists searchable, selectable, and copyable text, direct links, single- and multipage PDFs, custom page sizes, headers and footers, and combining all open tabs into one PDF. Not every feature is included in every edition.
- Consider FuseBase Pro if screenshots are part of a wider collaboration workflow. Its current Chrome Web Store listing documents full-page capture, annotation, online sharing, screen and webcam recording, and step-by-step guides, as well as saving captures to PDF.
The evidence for FireShot’s PDF controls is more specific; that is not proof that its PDFs will render better on every site. For either product, test the pages and browser version you actually use—especially pages with lazy-loaded content, sticky elements, embedded frames, or login requirements.
What the product names and listings mean
The current Chrome Web Store listing is named “FuseBase Pro – Capture screenshots and Video record” and is published by Nimbus Web, Inc. The vendor’s current product page redirects from the former Nimbus URL to FuseBase. That establishes the current product lineage, not that every older Nimbus extension version has the same features.

The Firefox Add-ons listing still uses the Nimbus Screenshot name, but it describes version 15.6.9 and was last updated July 31, 2020. Treat its feature description as information about that listing and version, not as confirmation of current Firefox support or feature parity with FuseBase Pro.
PDF features: where FireShot is more explicit
Text, links, and page layout
FireShot’s product page says captures can be saved as PDFs with direct links and searchable text. Its feature matrix also lists selectable and copyable text, single- and multipage PDF output, custom page sizes, and headers and footers. The matrix distinguishes FireShot Lite from Pro, so check the current edition comparison before assuming a particular export control is included.

The current FuseBase Pro Chrome listing confirms that screenshots can be saved to PDF, but does not describe searchable or selectable text, link preservation, pagination, or page-size controls in comparable detail. That absence in the listing does not establish that a particular output lacks those properties; open a sample PDF and check them.
Capture scope and editing
FireShot documents capture of a whole page, the visible area, or a selected region. Its product information also describes crop, resize, highlight, blur, erase, and text annotation tools. Some editor and smart-annotation functionality is Windows-only.

FuseBase Pro documents full-page and partial capture, editing and annotation, and sharing. The older Firefox Nimbus listing also describes scrolling capture, including horizontal scrolling, but it is dated and should not be treated as proof of current availability.
Batch work versus collaboration
FireShot documents capturing all tabs, URL lists, and batch automation, which may suit repeated archiving. FuseBase’s current listing emphasizes sharing and collaboration around captures, plus recordings and step-by-step guides. Decide whether the central task is producing PDFs at scale or communicating a process to other people.

Privacy, permissions, and sharing
FireShot
FireShot says captures are processed locally on the device and that it can be used offline. That does not mean the extension has no browser permissions: Mozilla’s FireShot listing declares broad website access. Review the permissions shown for the particular browser build you install, especially before capturing private or authenticated pages.
FuseBase Pro
The current Chrome Web Store data disclosure lists personally identifiable information, authentication information, and website content among handled data categories. The listing also describes routes for saving to FuseBase and sharing through services such as Slack and Google Drive or Classroom. Review the current store disclosure and privacy policy before using it with sensitive material.

- Capture a representative page in the extension and browser you intend to use. Include examples with long scrolling content, sticky headers, embedded frames, or login-protected sections if those matter to your work.
- Open the resulting PDF in your usual PDF reader. Select and copy a sentence, search for a word, and click a link to confirm the behaviors you need.
- Check pagination, page size, headers and footers, and whether the captured page includes content that appears only after scrolling. Compare the result with the original page.
- If you need annotations or redaction, verify the tools and edition available in your browser and operating system. Do not assume a blur or erase operation satisfies your organization’s requirements for removing sensitive data.
- For recurring or batch captures, test the exact workflow—such as all-tabs capture or a URL list—before using it for an archive.
Neither product’s published feature descriptions establish identical results on every dynamic page. A sample capture is the practical way to catch layout or content omissions before depending on a PDF.
