What is Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave?
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is a Nintendo Switch 2 game released on September 17, 2026, according to Nintendo’s official game page. Its story centers on the Heroic Games, contests held in Dagsion, capital of the Dagdan Empire, in tribute to Dagda the Great. The winner is promised one wish, and Nintendo profiles four contenders: Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda.
Nintendo describes the battles as turn-based and says players can advance multiple heroes’ stories in parallel, switching between them between matches. The game’s wider premise involves Balor, a resurrected demon god threatening the empire in 1454, and Fortuna, a time-traveling goddess who offers a way to change the heroes’ fates. That story premise is separate from the Tetris 99 event: owning Fortune’s Weave was not listed as a requirement to take part.
