How to reach the upstairs backpack
- Travel to Kazkovyi Camp. Head to the camp in the Burnt Forest, west of the Lesser Zone.
- Enter the ruined brick building. The ordinary interior corridors are blocked, so do not spend time looking for a clear hallway or an interior door.
- Follow the upper-level balconies. Use the balcony route to move around the blocked sections, jumping across gaps where needed.
- Watch for anomalies. The reported route passes electrical and gas anomalies. Crouch through the described gaps and move carefully rather than rushing through them.
- Search the upper room. Look for the yellow-trimmed backpack on a wooden shelf and take the magazine from it.

GSC Game World’s official Update 2.0 explainer says saves from earlier game versions remain compatible with Update 2.0 and the Cost of Hope expansion.
