FiDEX 2026, Moneycontrol’s Financial Distributor Expo, is scheduled for 25–26 November 2026 at NESCO in Mumbai. Its focus is timely: India’s investor base is growing and household financial savings are shifting toward equity and mutual funds, but access to products alone does not ensure informed, sustained participation. The event brings distributors and related firms together around products, regulation, certification pathways and practice tools; its stated benefits are organizer claims, not evidence that attending improves investor outcomes.

What FiDEX 2026 is and when it takes place

FiDEX is Moneycontrol’s Financial Distributor Expo. Its official event page schedules Edition 2 for 25–26 November 2026 at NESCO, Mumbai. The expo is aimed at financial distributors and the firms and institutions that work with them, across several product areas and professional roles.

The organizer reports that Edition 1 recorded 6,788 registrations and 4,712 attendees, with participants from more than 20 states. For Edition 2, it anticipates more than 10,000 distributor partners. That is a forecast, not an attendance result. FiDEX event details

Why financial distribution matters as participation expands

Government figures point to a broader and more geographically dispersed investor base. The Press Information Bureau’s January 2026 summary of the Economic Survey 2025–26 reports 5.9 crore unique mutual-fund investors in December 2025; separately, it reports that 3.5 crore investors were from non-Tier-I and Tier-II cities as of November 2025. The dates differ and should not be treated as one simultaneous count.

The same government summary says more than 11 crore unique investors made SIP contributions by FY25, compared with around 3.1 crore in FY20. These are counts of investors, not rupee amounts. It also reports that equity and mutual funds’ share of annual household financial savings rose from 2% in FY12 to more than 15.2% in FY25. That share concerns annual financial savings, not total household wealth. Press Information Bureau: Economic Survey 2025–26 summary

A separate inclusion indicator offers wider context, not a direct measure of investment advice. The Press Information Bureau’s September 2026 fintech factsheet reports that India’s Financial Inclusion Index, based on Reserve Bank of India figures, rose from 43.4 in March 2017 to 70.0 in March 2026. It does not measure distributor performance or advice quality. Press Information Bureau fintech factsheet

These figures show market expansion and broader participation; they do not establish that distributors caused the change, that every new investor received advice, or that attending an expo changes consumer outcomes. Moneycontrol has described distributors as a bridge between expanding markets and investors taking early steps toward wealth creation. A 2026 PwC–FICCI report makes a related industry argument: access is not enough to ensure sustained participation and outcomes; guidance, trust and accountability matter. These are rationales for taking distribution seriously, not causal findings about FiDEX. Moneycontrol’s event rationale · PwC–FICCI report

Who the event says can attend

FiDEX describes an audience broader than mutual-fund distributors. Listed groups include:

  • Mutual-fund and SIF distributors.
  • RA/RIA, PMS/AIF and other SEBI-registered intermediaries.
  • Insurance advisors, brokers and manufacturers, and bank direct selling agents (DSAs).
  • Aspiring wealth professionals, students, retired people and homemakers.
  • Chartered accountants, GST practitioners and other networked professionals.

Registration conditions vary by category, and some applicants may need validation or approval. Check the official registration page for current eligibility and terms before making plans. The event’s audience list is not a substitute for any role-specific licensing or registration rules. FiDEX event and registration information

What the program covers—and what to verify

The organizer presents FiDEX as a multi-asset professional setting, with product partners, networking, regulation-focused sessions, certification guidance and business tools. It identifies CRM, lead-generation and client-servicing applications as tool categories; it does not establish that any particular vendor or product is suitable.

The event’s ecosystem spans mutual funds and SIFs, insurance, portfolio management services, alternative investment funds, bonds, NPS and annuities, as well as banks, NBFCs, fintech companies, asset managers, insurers and technology providers. These areas do not share one universal regulatory framework. Before acting on a session or product discussion, assess the relevant considerations for the role and product:

  • Investor need and time horizon: Identify what the product is intended to address rather than treating a broader menu as a recommendation.
  • Role and qualifications: Verify the current registration or certification requirements that apply to the intermediary and activity.
  • Regulatory and conduct rules: Confirm which regulator and rules govern the specific intermediary and product; securities, insurance, pension and banking activities are not interchangeable.
  • Service and incentives: Distinguish product access and ongoing servicing from advice, and be clear about any relevant incentive or conflict.
  • Practice infrastructure: Consider whether CRM, lead management or client-servicing tools meet the practice’s needs, without assuming the event’s category descriptions amount to an endorsement.

FiDEX says practitioners and education institutes will be present to guide attendees on certification pathways. That does not mean every asset class has the same certification requirement. Verify current requirements with the responsible regulator or certification body for the product and role in question. FiDEX program information

How to judge the event’s relevance to your work

For a prospective attendee, the useful question is not simply whether the expo covers many products. It is whether its sessions and contacts map to a defined work need: understanding a relevant regulatory change, checking the qualification path for a role, evaluating servicing processes, or building professional connections in a product area.

  1. Identify the products and services you currently distribute—or the role you are preparing to enter.
  2. Check your eligibility and registration terms for FiDEX’s attendee category.
  3. Review the published agenda and exhibitors against a specific learning or practice objective.
  4. For regulatory or certification questions, confirm any guidance against the current official requirements for your role and product.
  5. Assess tools and partner claims independently; the event’s description does not establish quality, suitability, earnings or investor results.

For consumers, the larger lesson is that a growing market needs more than product availability. Clear explanations, appropriate qualifications, accountable service and attention to conflicts are important parts of distribution. FiDEX provides a forum organized around those professional questions, but the available event information does not show that participation itself improves advice or financial outcomes.
