Feedly has a direct integration with Buffer: connect your account, choose social channels, edit the post, then add it to a queue, schedule it, or publish it using the controls available in your account. The services document this as a manual article-sharing workflow; Buffer’s separate RSS-feed feature works differently.
How to connect Feedly to Buffer and share an article
- Connect the accounts. In Feedly, open settings and integrations and connect Buffer, or click the Buffer icon on a story. Authorize your Buffer account if prompted. Buffer lists Feedly as an active, first-party integration, and Feedly documents the connection flow.
- Choose the social channels. Select the profiles where you want the article shared. Feedly’s help instructions describe toggling the profile bubbles shown in the interface.
- Review and edit the post. Adjust the message, image, or hashtags as needed, and check the post for each selected network before sending it.
- Choose an action. Feedly documents Add to Queue, Share Next, Share Now, and Schedule Post. Buffer’s integration listing names Add to Queue, Share Next, and Schedule Post. The documentation does not explain the difference in available controls, so do not assume every account or interface shows the same options.
Buffer’s integration listing says Feedly’s free plan supports the integration. Plan eligibility can change, so check Buffer’s current listing before relying on that detail.

Direct sharing or Buffer RSS feeds?
These are separate ways to get articles into Buffer. With the direct integration, you find a story in Feedly and send it to Buffer. With Buffer’s content-feed feature, you add an RSS or Atom feed in Buffer and work from items that arrive there. Buffer says users can create a post or save an idea from a feed item; its help page lists up to three feeds on the Free plan and up to 50 on paid plans. Those plan limits are subject to change. See Buffer’s guide to content feeds.
| Workflow | Where you choose the article | What it is for | Documented plan detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| Feedly direct integration | In Feedly, on an individual story | Manually send a selected article to Buffer to queue, schedule, or share using the available controls | Buffer says Feedly’s free plan supports the integration; verify current eligibility on Buffer’s integration page. |
| Buffer content feeds | In Buffer, from an RSS or Atom feed | Use feed items to create a post or save an idea | Buffer’s help page lists up to three feeds on Free and up to 50 on paid plans; limits can change. See Buffer’s content-feed guide. |
The documentation establishes these distinct workflows, but does not provide a complete feature-by-feature comparison. Choose direct sharing when you want to select a particular Feedly story yourself; consider content feeds when you want feed items to appear within Buffer.

Can you automate Feedly-to-Buffer posting?
Buffer’s third-party automation help describes workflows that begin with an app trigger and finish with an action in Buffer. It gives sending tagged Feedly articles to a Buffer queue as an example. Buffer also says its API is available on all plans. These options go beyond the direct sharing control; confirm the setup and requirements with the automation service you plan to use. See Buffer’s guide to third-party apps.

What to expect from the documented integration
- The documented flow is to connect accounts, choose channels, edit the post, and select a queueing, scheduling, or sharing action.
- Feedly lists Share Now in its help instructions, while Buffer’s integration listing does not. The available controls may therefore vary.
- The documentation describes the workflow but does not establish how a particular account behaves in every interface or configuration.
