The report says the chests replenished after the player left to spend Gloom and returned, but a reply says a PC patch may have fixed the behavior. Treat it as an unverified exploit, not a dependable way to fund your upgrades.
What the Hidden Nave farming report describes
A player reported opening more than 60 chests in the Hidden Nave, collecting Gloom and materials including Futilium, leaving to spend Gloom, then returning to find the chests replenished. The location is described as a late-game dungeon near the final boss. That is one player’s account, not a measured yield or proof that the reset is repeatable for everyone. Read the community report.

Replies describe different ways of leaving and returning: some mention exiting to the main menu and continuing at the Beacon, while others mention a dungeon door or teleporter. The instructions conflict, and none is established as a tested, guaranteed sequence. There is no reliable figure for how much Gloom the route produces or how quickly it can be repeated.

Does the chest reset still work?
It may not. A commenter on the Hidden Nave report says a recent PC patch fixed the chest reset. Separately, official update notes document fixes for an infinite Ossinite farm and a Grisha that could respawn indefinitely in a dungeon. Those notes confirm that some resource and enemy-respawn exploits have been addressed, but they do not establish whether the specific Hidden Nave chest behavior is fixed on every platform. Precision meets intensity in high-stakes combat.
Mortal Shell II is a single-player action RPG from Cold Symmetry, published by Playstack; its official Steam listing describes weapon upgrades and eight warrior Shells. The available information does not establish the Hidden Nave reset’s current status across platforms or builds. See the official Steam listing.
How to approach the method without relying on it
- Consider progression first. The reported location is late-game, so this is not an early-game money route.
- Test cautiously on your own build. If you reach the Hidden Nave, check whether chests actually replenish after leaving and returning. Do not assume that one reported exit method will work or that a reset proves the behavior is intended.
- Secure dropped Gloom. If you die carrying Gloom, recover it before risking another run; otherwise, the attempt to farm can cost you resources.
- Spend with a goal. Choose a Shell or weapon upgrade that helps with the obstacle you are facing instead of farming indefinitely without a specific purchase in mind.
A safer fallback when the chests do not reset
Use a manageable repeatable route near a Beacon, where you can limit the risk and retrieve dropped Gloom before committing to another run. A third-party guide reviewed on 25 August 2026 recommends this general approach and notes that Night Mode can increase drops while making mistakes more costly. That is a trade-off, not a guaranteed improvement for every player or route. See the farming guidance.
Rank #2
There are no dependable published rates to compare the Hidden Nave report with ordinary farming. The practical choice is whether you have access to the late-game area, whether the reset works on your current build, and whether you are willing to risk a glitch-like shortcut rather than earn resources through normal progression.
