SBCs may ask you to build a qualifying squad or contribute eligible Player Items toward an Item Score. Submitted items are permanently removed from your Club. In FC 27 Simplified SBCs, incomplete progress is saved while the challenge is live, and an expired challenge may grant a reduced untradeable reward based on the score submitted—not its main reward.
How do I complete an SBC in FC 27?
Start by opening the individual SBC and reading its full requirements. FC 27 has both traditional squad-puzzle SBCs and Simplified SBCs, so the steps depend on the format shown for that challenge.

Simplified SBCs: meet the Item Score
In a Simplified SBC, eligible Player Items contribute Item Score toward a required total. You can submit items over multiple sessions, and progress is saved while the challenge remains available. Duplicates can be submitted. The main challenge reward is granted only after you reach the full requirement.

Traditional SBCs: build a qualifying squad
Traditional SBCs ask you to assemble a squad that satisfies the listed conditions. Requirements can include Squad Rating, Chemistry, Player Quality, leagues, nations or clubs. Some challenges have multiple segments or a group requirement, so check that each part is complete before expecting the final reward. EA has described Streamlined SBCs as score-based, potentially with minimum item-rating rules, while traditional SBCs remain for puzzle-style challenges. Read EA’s FUT Deep Dive.

When does an SBC expire?
There is no single expiration date for all SBCs. Use the timer or expiry shown on the specific challenge and check it again before submitting. Once an SBC expires, you can no longer submit a squad to it; requirements and deadlines are challenge-specific. EA’s Ultimate Team SBC guide covers FC 27 and FC 26 mechanics.
What happens if a Simplified SBC expires before I finish?
For FC 27 Simplified SBCs, submitted progress is saved while the challenge is live, but each submitted Player Item is removed from your Club immediately and permanently. If the SBC expires before you reach its full Item Score, EA says you might receive a reduced, untradeable reward based on the score submitted. This is not the main challenge reward, which requires completing the full requirement.

How can I avoid submitting the wrong players?
EA warns that SBC submissions are final. Submitted Player Items are permanently removed from your Club, including items submitted as partial progress, and EA Advisors cannot restore them. Before confirming:
- Open the specific SBC and read its requirements and expiry.
- Compare the displayed reward with the Player Items you plan to exchange.
- For a Simplified SBC, check the remaining Item Score and avoid overshooting with higher-value items.
- Review every selected item on the confirmation screen and proceed only if you are willing to lose them permanently.
- For a multi-part or puzzle SBC, verify each segment and any group requirement before expecting the final reward.
Are all FC 27 SBCs Simplified SBCs?
No. FC 27 includes Simplified SBCs that use Item Score as well as traditional SBCs built around squad requirements. Check the format and conditions of each challenge rather than assuming one set of rules applies to all of them. EA’s SBC guide explains the current formats.

Can I recover Player Items submitted to an SBC?
No. EA states that “SBC submissions are final.” Items submitted to an SBC are permanently removed from your Club, and EA Advisors cannot restore them.
