Not on the evidence available. EA SPORTS FC 27 was the best-selling game in Spain’s September 2026 retail chart, according to the Spanish video-game association AEVI’s report of Game Sales Data. That is a country-, month- and channel-specific result—not proof that FC 27 is 2026’s global or year-to-date top seller.
What the Spain chart actually shows
AEVI’s September 2026 retail chart names EA SPORTS FC 27 for PlayStation 5 as the leading game in Spain. The result is based on Game Sales Data and refers to retail sales, not all digital and physical sales worldwide. AEVI’s chart report

So the defensible headline is that FC 27 topped Spain’s September retail list. The chart does not establish its total sales, revenue, worldwide position, or lead across all of 2026.

A sales ranking is meaningful only with its market, time period and channel attached. A separate Circana chart, published September 1, 2026, ranks US retail and digital game sales year to date through July. It puts Resident Evil: Requiem first, but FC 27 had not launched yet: EA’s worldwide release date was September 25. The earlier US chart therefore cannot measure FC 27’s launch-month performance or contradict Spain’s later September retail result.

What to take from the sales claim
- Supported: AEVI’s reporting of Game Sales Data names FC 27 for PS5 as Spain’s leading retail game for September 2026.
- Not established: That FC 27 is the worldwide, US, or full-year 2026 top seller, or that it leads by total units or revenue.
- Not a direct comparison: Circana’s US year-to-date list through July predates FC 27’s September launch.
