Why FC 26 Companion App login may be unavailable now
EA says the FC 27 Web App launched September 16, 2026, and the FC 27 Companion App followed on September 17. From September 17, the apps are available for FC 27 only. If you are trying to use an installed FC 26 app or following an older FC 26 setup guide, you may be trying to access a title the current apps no longer support. EA Help’s app guide has the current title and app information.

For FC 27 app continuity, EA says you must log into Ultimate Team on PC or console at least once by November 7, 2026, at 11:59:50 PM UTC. This is a requirement for continued use of the FC 27 apps, not a fix for a failed password or an account restriction.
How to troubleshoot an FC Companion App login
1. Confirm the app matches the game
If you are troubleshooting today, use the FC 27 Companion App for FC 27. The FC 26 app’s old setup steps do not make the current app support FC 26 again.

2. Sign in with the EA Account linked to your game
EA says to use the same EA Account you use to play the corresponding FC title. If the app shows the wrong club or asks you to start setup again, verify which EA Account is linked to your console or PC profile. If you cannot identify the account or have lost access to its email or password, use EA’s account recovery guidance. Do not give your password or Security Question answer to unofficial helpers.
3. Complete Ultimate Team setup in the full game
For FC 26, the official store listing’s setup instructions say to log into the full game on console or PC, enter Ultimate Team, create a club, set a Security Question and Answer, and then sign into the Companion App. These instructions describe FC 26’s original setup; they do not override the app’s later transition to FC 27-only use. For the current FC 27 apps, log into Ultimate Team in FC 27 on PC or console at least once by November 7, 2026, 11:59:50 PM UTC to continue using them, according to EA’s app guide.

4. Treat Showcase or trial cases as a specific possibility
In one EA forum discussion about “login unavailable — we’re currently having trouble with login services,” EA Community Manager EA_Hux advised the player to achieve a successful Ultimate Team login in the full PC game, rather than relying on Showcase or a trial. The response also suggested removing Showcase and installing the full game if applicable, entering Ultimate Team, quitting, waiting a few minutes, and then trying the app. This was advice for that particular case, not a guaranteed fix or proof that all trial entitlements behave the same way. Is it an app login problem or a Transfer Market restriction?
Getting into the app and being allowed to use its Transfer Market are different things. If your club loads but the market does not, you may be facing a market eligibility restriction rather than an authentication failure. EA says affected users receive a block message and should check the email associated with their EA Account. Its Transfer Market access guidance explains the separate eligibility rules.

When to contact EA Help
If the app year, linked EA Account, and game-side setup are correct but sign-in still fails, contact EA Help for account-specific support. Persistent authentication failures, suspected account restrictions, and service-side errors cannot be resolved by a universal FC 26 reset procedure in the published guidance. Reinstalling the app, clearing cache, changing networks or VPN settings, and waiting a set amount of time are not established fixes for these cases.
