How to read Famitsu’s estimates
Famitsu says its figures are estimates based on information available when the report was compiled. Software estimates combine packaged software, download cards, and versions preinstalled on consoles. They are not audited final totals or a complete accounting of all digital sales.
The rankings show estimated sales for one week and cumulative chart totals; they do not establish why a game sold more or less, consumer preference, or overall platform market share. Famitsu said positions 11 and below would be published separately on its sales-ranking page from October 2 onward; Gematsu’s updated report subsequently included ranks 11–30.
