To change your birthday in the Facebook app, open your profile, go to About > Basic and contact information, and select Edit beside your birthday. Continue to Accounts Center, edit the date, and save. Facebook limits how often you can change this information, so a recent edit may prevent another change for a while.
Change your birthday in the Facebook app
Facebook’s documented route moves from your profile’s information section into Accounts Center. The Help Center lists Android, iPhone, iPad, mobile-browser, desktop, and Facebook Lite variants; the steps below use the labels in its documented route. Menu names or placement may differ across app versions.

If Facebook won’t let you change the date
Facebook says there is a limit on how many times a birthday can be changed. If you changed yours recently, you may need to wait before editing it again. The Help Center does not give a fixed quota or waiting period, so there is no reliable number of days to promise.
A recent change is one documented reason an edit may be unavailable. If the control is missing or disabled and you have not changed the birthday recently, Facebook’s cited guidance does not establish the specific cause. Check the birthday settings again later or consult Facebook Help for your account.

What happens if you have more than one Facebook profile?
If you use additional Facebook profiles, the birthday on your primary profile applies to them. Facebook does not let you set a different birthday on each additional profile. You can, however, adjust who can see the birthday separately for each profile.
Change who can see your birthday instead
If the date itself is correct and you only want to limit its visibility, use the birthday audience controls rather than editing the date. Facebook lets you choose the audience for the day and month separately from the birth year. If you do not share the day and month, friends will not receive an upcoming-birthday notification.
