The Exynos 2600 and Dimensity 9500s differ in their published designs, but the available benchmark results do not establish a reliable overall winner. Samsung specifies a 2nm, 10-core chip; MediaTek specifies a 3nm, eight-core chip. Those figures describe different approaches—not how two finished phones will perform under the same conditions.
Exynos 2600 vs Dimensity 9500s: key specifications
Samsung and MediaTek publish different levels of detail for these processors. The comparison below reflects their product specifications; it does not imply that every phone using a chip will implement all supported features.

The Exynos 2600 has two more CPU cores on paper, while MediaTek publishes an exact Dimensity 9500s core mix and a maximum frequency for its Cortex-X925 core. A core count alone does not settle which processor is faster: core architecture, clock behavior, workload, power limits, and handset cooling all affect results.

Samsung says the Exynos 2600’s on-CPU computing performance improves “up to 39%” compared with its predecessor. That is Samsung’s generational claim, not a measured comparison with the Dimensity 9500s. The figure should not be read as an Exynos-versus-Dimensity advantage.
GPU and AI features
Samsung lists the Xclipse 960 GPU; MediaTek lists Arm Immortalis-G925. These are the vendors’ named graphics processors, not benchmark results. The product descriptions do not provide a controlled, directly comparable gaming test that would show which GPU runs a given game faster or sustains performance longer.

- Carrier: This phone is locked to Tracfone, which means this device can only be used on the Tracfone wireless network. Tracfone plan required, activating is easy, just 3 steps.
- DISPLAY: Immersive viewing on a 6.7-inch super-bright 120Hz display with powerful stereo speakers and Bass Boost for cinematic entertainment.

- PERFORMANCE: Lightning-fast 5G connectivity paired with a powerful processor and RAM Boost for smooth multitasking.
- BATTERY LIFE: Long-lasting 5000mAh battery with TurboPower charging technology delivers hours of power in minutes.
Both vendors describe AI hardware. Samsung highlights an NPU and on-device AI improvements, including a claimed 113% improvement in generative AI performance over its predecessor. MediaTek describes its NPU for generative and agentic AI. Samsung’s percentage is a vendor comparison against an earlier Exynos chip, not against the Dimensity 9500s; it does not establish which chip completes a shared AI workload faster.

No dependable universal winner is established by the available exact-pair comparison pages. Comparigon and MobileRank.top report different figures, and the available information does not show that the chips were tested in the same phone models with matching software, cooling, power settings, and benchmark versions. Treat those scores as results reported by those sources, not as a controlled head-to-head test or a guaranteed measure of chip performance.

For device context, 91mobiles lists the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus for the Exynos 2600 and the POCO X8 Pro Max for the Dimensity 9500s in its processor-ranking test list. Its scores are based on tested smartphones, so they reflect each complete handset as well as its processor; they cannot isolate the chipset effect.

What to check when choosing a phone
If you are deciding between handsets built around these processors, compare the actual regional phone models rather than relying on a chip name or a score from a different device. A useful comparison should identify the tested phone, benchmark version, software, date, and test conditions. Also weigh the handset’s cooling, battery results, display, cameras, price, and software support; the processor specifications alone do not answer those questions.

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9500s on January 15, 2026. Its announcement quoted JC Hsu, corporate senior vice president and general manager of the Wireless Communications Business Unit, describing the company’s aim to invest in advanced technologies and make them available to more people. That statement is company positioning, not evidence of comparative performance.
