Which processor is better? The Dimensity 9500s has a more clearly documented high-end CPU layout and newer stated process technology, but the available evidence does not establish that it is faster than the Exynos 2400e in real phones. Samsung identifies the Exynos 2400e in the Galaxy S24 FE; no retail Dimensity 9500s handset with a comparable benchmark result was verified in the cited material. Specs suggest capabilities, not a proven head-to-head winner.
Exynos 2400e vs Dimensity 9500s at a glance
| Specification | Exynos 2400e | Dimensity 9500s |
|---|---|---|
| Verified device context | Samsung identifies it in the Galaxy S24 FE. [Samsung] | No retail handset using this chip was verified in the cited material. |
| CPU | Samsung Singapore lists a deca-core CPU with clock tiers of 3.1, 2.9, 2.6, and 1.95GHz. [Samsung Singapore] | 1× Arm Cortex-X925 up to 3.73GHz, 3× Cortex-X4, and 4× Cortex-A720, according to MediaTek. [MediaTek] |
| Process claim | Samsung lists 4nm for the Galaxy S24 FE’s processor. [Samsung] | MediaTek describes the chip as a 3nm design. [MediaTek] |
| Graphics | Samsung’s Exynos 2400 family page describes Xclipse 940 graphics based on AMD RDNA 3; it is family-level information, not a direct 2400e specification. [Samsung Semiconductor] | Arm Immortalis-G925; MediaTek says 11-core or 12-core GPU configurations may be available, depending on the device. [MediaTek] |
| Memory and storage | The cited S24 FE materials list phone storage configurations, not a full 2400e memory-controller specification. | MediaTek lists LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4 with MCQ storage support. [MediaTek] |
| Connectivity and imaging capabilities | Samsung’s S24 FE page lists phone-level camera and network specifications; those should not be read as the chip’s complete silicon limits. [Samsung Singapore] | MediaTek lists 5G Release 17, up to 7Gbps downlink, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and support for capture up to 8K60. Handset implementation and region can limit available features. [MediaTek] |
Which processor is faster?
There is not enough comparable evidence to answer that definitively. MediaTek specifies a Cortex-X925 peak frequency of up to 3.73GHz and an all-big-core CPU arrangement, while Samsung’s regional S24 FE listing gives the Exynos 2400e’s deca-core designation and clock tiers. Clock speeds and core counts alone do not establish which chip delivers better sustained performance: cooling, firmware, memory, and each phone’s implementation also affect results.

The key limitation is device availability in the evidence. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is an identifiable Exynos 2400e phone, but no retail phone with the Dimensity 9500s and a suitably matched result was verified. A direct speed claim would therefore go beyond what these sources show.

These are individual phone submissions, not laboratory measurements of the processors in isolation or a definitive score for every S24 FE. Geekbench says v6 scores are comparable only with other Geekbench 6 results and recommends Geekbench 7 for modern hardware. [Geekbench Browser]
A third-party comparison page gives purported scores for both chips, but it does not provide enough provenance or a controlled same-device protocol to establish an authoritative result. [CPUBoss] Without an identifiable retail Dimensity 9500s phone scored under a matching benchmark version and disclosed conditions, these figures cannot support a reliable numerical ratio or winner.

How to read the specification differences
CPU design and clocks
MediaTek’s 9500s listing is explicit about an X925 prime core, three X4 cores, and four A720 cores. Its specified maximum X925 frequency is 3.73GHz. Samsung’s cited S24 FE listing describes the Exynos 2400e as deca-core and gives four clock tiers, but those vendor-reported figures are not a substitute for sustained, device-level testing.
Graphics
MediaTek names the Immortalis-G925 and notes that 11-core and 12-core configurations may be used. The exact handset configuration matters. Samsung’s Xclipse 940 and AMD RDNA 3 description is for the Exynos 2400 family page, not a direct Exynos 2400e product specification, so it should not be treated as confirmation of the 2400e’s exact GPU configuration.

Process technology and battery life
MediaTek calls the 9500s a 3nm design, while Samsung lists 4nm for the Exynos 2400e in the S24 FE. Those labels are vendor-stated process descriptions; they do not, by themselves, establish a battery-life advantage. Power use also depends on the workload, phone design, cooling, and software.
Memory, storage, connectivity, and camera features
MediaTek’s listed LPDDR5X and UFS 4 with MCQ describe chip capabilities, not a guarantee that every phone will install those components. Similarly, the 9500s page’s 5G Release 17, up to 7Gbps downlink, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and up to 8K60 capture are vendor-stated capabilities. A manufacturer’s device configuration, regional variant, and software determine which features are actually available. Samsung’s cited S24 FE materials describe a finished phone, so their camera and network details should not be mistaken for a complete list of Exynos 2400e silicon limits.

Which one should you choose?
Choose based on the complete phone you can buy, not on these chip names alone. The Galaxy S24 FE provides a verified retail-device context for the Exynos 2400e. The cited material does not establish a corresponding retail Dimensity 9500s phone, so it cannot support a practical handset-versus-handset recommendation.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
For a meaningful performance comparison, look for results from identifiable retail phones using the same benchmark version, with software and run conditions disclosed. Until such evidence is available, the 9500s has the more explicitly documented CPU configuration, but neither processor can be declared the faster one from this comparison.
