In the cited real-phone benchmarks, Snapdragon 8 Elite scores higher than Exynos 2400. The results point to stronger CPU and graphics performance in the tested Snapdragon phones, but they are comparisons between different handsets—not controlled tests that isolate the chips. Cooling, power limits, firmware and benchmark version all affect the numbers.
How the specifications differ
The Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Elite use different CPU and GPU designs. The specifications below are those listed in 91Mobiles’ comparison; they describe the platforms, but do not by themselves predict how a particular phone will perform.

| Graphics | Samsung Xclipse 940 | Adreno 830 |
| Manufacturing process | 4 nm | 3 nm |
91Mobiles’ specification comparison is the source for these details. Qualcomm says Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy powers the Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra globally. Its announcement also identifies the X80 5G Modem-RF System and FastConnect 7800 for Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. Read Qualcomm’s January 2025 announcement.
What the benchmark results show
Across the cited examples, Snapdragon 8 Elite leads in both CPU scores and the reported graphics test. The scores below belong to the named phones, not to a lab-isolated comparison of the processors.

Gizmochina: Galaxy S24+ versus Galaxy S25 Ultra
| Benchmark | Galaxy S24+ (Exynos 2400) | Galaxy S25 Ultra (Snapdragon 8 Elite) |
|---|---|---|
| AnTuTu total | 1,712,489 | 2,209,476 |
| Geekbench single-core | 2,016 | 3,179 |
| Geekbench multi-core | 6,683 | 10,114 |
These figures are from Gizmochina’s 2025 comparison. The phones differ, so they do not establish how much of the gap comes from the chip rather than the handset and test conditions. See Gizmochina’s comparison.
Tom’s Guide: Galaxy S25 FE versus Galaxy S25
| Benchmark | Galaxy S25 FE (Exynos 2400) | Galaxy S25 (Snapdragon 8 Elite) |
|---|---|---|
| Geekbench single-core | 2,142 | 2,916 |
| Geekbench multi-core | 7,066 | 9,886 |
| 3DMark Solar Bay Unlimited | 32.7 fps | 43.4 fps |
Tom’s Guide’s separate 2025 phone comparison again favors the Snapdragon-equipped handset in the reported tests. Because the tested models and conditions differ from Gizmochina’s, the scores should be read as another device-level result, not combined into a universal performance margin. Geekbench’s live Android rankings
At access on October 7, 2026, Geekbench’s Android listing showed the Galaxy S25+ with Snapdragon 8 Elite at 2,526 single-core and 8,702 multi-core, versus 1,733 and 6,045 for the Galaxy S24+ with Exynos 2400. These are rankings drawn from a live database whose results change as submissions accrue, rather than a fixed, controlled head-to-head test. View Geekbench’s Android benchmarks.
How to interpret the gap
- Single-core CPU scores are useful for comparing short tasks that rely heavily on one core, such as many everyday interactions.
- Multi-core scores show performance in workloads that can use several CPU cores at once.
- Graphics results help compare a specific graphics workload, but do not guarantee identical frame rates in every game or app.
The cited tests consistently favor Snapdragon 8 Elite, but they use different phone models and testing contexts. Benchmark versions, memory configuration, performance mode, thermal state, firmware, cooling and power limits can all affect results. The evidence does not support one definitive percentage advantage for every phone or workload.

Which should matter when choosing a phone?
If performance is your main concern, the Snapdragon 8 Elite has the stronger showing in these cited examples. But a benchmark lead is only one input to a purchase decision, particularly when the comparison involves different handsets.
- Check the processor in the exact model and regional configuration being sold; configurations can vary by market.
- Compare the phone’s price, battery, cameras, display, storage and software-support period as well as its chipset.
- For gaming or long demanding sessions, look for testing of the actual phone under sustained load: a short benchmark run cannot show how performance behaves as the device heats up.
Qualcomm’s January 2025 announcement states that Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy is used across the Galaxy S25 series globally. The cited Exynos comparisons include the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S25 FE; confirm the processor in the particular model and market you are considering rather than assuming all phones in a product family share the same configuration.
