Exynos 1380 leads in the benchmark results reported by 91Mobiles: it posts higher AnTuTu, Geekbench single-core, and Geekbench multi-core scores than Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. Those figures are one comparison snapshot, not a guarantee for every phone. The right purchase decision depends on the complete handset as well as its processor.

AnTuTu combines CPU, GPU, memory, and user-experience areas; Geekbench compares single- and multi-threaded CPU performance. The comparison extract does not identify benchmark versions or provide enough test-method details to treat these scores as directly reproducible across phones. Cooling, firmware, memory configuration, and test conditions can all affect a handset’s result. See 91Mobiles’ comparison.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 2
Qualcomm describes Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 as a 4 nm mobile platform with a Kryo CPU and Snapdragon X61 5G modem-RF system. Its specification page lists CPU speeds up to 2.3 GHz, while noting that a 2.2 GHz version also exists and that maximum speed varies by platform version. Qualcomm advises checking the phone maker’s specifications for the implementation in a particular device. The page also lists Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 specifications.

Qualcomm lists support for FHD+ displays up to 120 FPS and Quick Charge 4+. Its stated charging qualification is up to 50% in 15 minutes; actual charging depends on the phone’s design and implementation. These are platform capabilities, not assurances that every phone using the chip supports them in the same way.
Exynos 1380
Samsung describes Exynos 1380 as an octa-core processor with four Arm Cortex-A78 performance cores and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, alongside a five-core Arm Mali-G68 GPU. Samsung lists NPU capability of up to 4.9 trillion operations per second. Its integrated 5G modem has stated peak speeds of up to 3.79 Gbps download and 1.28 Gbps upload. These are manufacturer-stated capabilities; Samsung notes that specifications and performance can vary with system configuration and conditions. Samsung’s Exynos 1380 specifications.
Samsung also lists support for camera sensors up to 200 MP and zero-shutter-lag capture up to 64 MP. Those figures describe platform support, not the camera hardware, processing choices, or image quality of a particular phone.
What the scores do—and do not—tell you
The results favor Exynos 1380 across the three tests shown, but they do not establish that every Exynos 1380 phone will feel faster than every Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 phone. Nor do benchmark scores alone establish battery life, sustained gaming performance, camera quality, software support, or overall value. A phone’s cooling, memory, firmware, and other design choices affect real-world behavior.
Platform specifications also should not be mistaken for features guaranteed in every handset. A manufacturer can choose how to implement supported display, charging, connectivity, and camera capabilities. Check the exact phone’s product page for the features it actually includes.
How to choose between phones using these chips
Use the processor comparison as one input, then compare the exact handset models available in your country. The comparison page lists Samsung Galaxy A35 5G as an Exynos 1380 example and POCO M7 and vivo Y400 as Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 examples; these are examples, not verified recommendations or confirmation of current stock. Regional variants may differ, so verify each model’s configuration and local listing. The comparison page’s phone examples.
Quick Recap
- Price and availability: Check current local prices, warranty terms, and whether the specific variant is sold in your market.
- Memory and storage: Confirm the RAM and storage configuration, since phones with the same chip can ship with different amounts.
- Performance under load: Look for testing of the exact handset if sustained gaming or demanding apps matter; a chip-level score is not a thermal test of every phone.
- Battery and charging: Compare battery capacity and the charging implementation in the handset, not just platform support.
- Display and cameras: Check the panel and camera hardware and reviews of the actual phone; supported platform limits do not tell you image quality.
- Connectivity and updates: Verify supported 5G bands and Wi-Fi for your region, along with the maker’s software-update commitment.
