On paper, the Exynos 1380 has the stronger performance-oriented CPU configuration: four Cortex-A78 cores versus two Cortex-A76 cores in the Dimensity 6360 Apex. Samsung lists a Mali-G68 MP5 GPU and a 5 nm process for the Exynos, while MediaTek lists a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and a 6 nm design for the Dimensity. 91mobiles reports a higher AnTuTu score for the Exynos, but these are results from devices using each chip—not a controlled, matched-phone test. The handset’s cooling, software, memory, and power limits also affect what you experience.

These are platform capabilities and listed specifications, not a guarantee that a phone will include the fastest supported memory, storage, or display. Manufacturers select the components and configure each handset. Network speeds also depend on the phone’s modem implementation, supported bands, carrier, signal, and region. CPU: more big cores on the Exynos 1380
Both chips have eight CPU cores and list a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz for their performance cores. The difference is the core mix: the Exynos 1380 has four Cortex-A78 cores, while the Dimensity 6360 Apex has two Cortex-A76 cores. Each pairs those cores with Cortex-A55 efficiency cores—four on the Exynos and six on the Dimensity.

GPU and gaming: specifications are not a game test
Samsung lists a Mali-G68 MP5 GPU for the Exynos 1380; MediaTek lists a Mali-G57 MC2 for the Dimensity 6360. The names and configurations distinguish the listed GPUs, but they do not establish how the chips compare in a particular game or how well either phone sustains performance during a long session.
MediaTek says the Dimensity 6360 offers up to 57% faster gaming performance and up to 19% better gaming power efficiency than “direct alternative smartphone chipsets.” Those are manufacturer claims: the cited wording does not identify the exact comparison chips, so it is not an independent Exynos 1380-versus-Dimensity 6360 Apex result. A useful gaming comparison would need the same game, comparable settings, and phone-level testing. Source: MediaTek Dimensity 6360.

Benchmark results: what the reported scores show
91mobiles lists these AnTuTu scores on its processor pages:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?

| Chip | Reported AnTuTu score | Other listed Geekbench scores |
|---|---|---|
| Exynos 1380 | 612,769 | Not stated on the cited 91mobiles listing |
| Dimensity 6360 Apex | 588,319 | Single-core: 788; multi-core: 1,993 |
The Exynos score is about 4.2% higher than the Dimensity score, calculated relative to the Dimensity result. This is a difference between the results reported by 91mobiles, not a universal performance margin: the pages do not establish identical phone designs, cooling, software versions, or a controlled test run. The Dimensity page describes its displayed AnTuTu result as the highest recorded for a device using that chip and says its figures come from real-world testing of powered devices. Scores can vary by handset and test conditions. Sources: 91mobiles’ Exynos 1380 and Dimensity 6360 Apex pages.

Memory, storage, display, and connectivity depend on the phone
The 91mobiles listings associate the Exynos 1380 with LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage, and the Dimensity 6360 Apex with LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2. Those generations can indicate different platform capabilities, but the chipset does not tell you the full configuration of a phone. Check the exact handset’s memory and storage specifications before comparing models.
The published display ceilings likewise describe support, not the panel a manufacturer must use. A phone with either chip can ship with a lower-resolution or lower-refresh-rate screen. For connectivity, do not treat peak download figures as a promise of real-world speed; check the regional handset’s supported network bands and carrier compatibility.

Which phones use these chips?
91mobiles lists the Samsung Galaxy A35 5G as an Exynos 1380 phone and the OnePlus N6 5G as a Dimensity 6360 Apex phone. These are examples from its listings, not proof of availability or configuration in every market. Confirm the exact regional model and chipset before buying; phone variants can differ, and a chip-level benchmark score does not guarantee that handset’s performance.

Which one should you choose?
- For the stronger CPU configuration on paper: the Exynos 1380, with four Cortex-A78 cores rather than two Cortex-A76 cores.
- For a benchmark signal: the 91mobiles AnTuTu listings favor the Exynos, but the results are not from a matched-device test.
- For gaming, battery life, or sustained performance: compare the actual phones. The available scores do not establish a controlled thermal, gaming, or battery comparison.
- For an everyday purchase: weigh the phone’s screen, memory and storage configuration, software support, camera, price, and network compatibility alongside its processor.
