FastComet is the more natural fit if you want packaged cPanel shared hosting; Exoscale is the better fit if you need cloud infrastructure control and can manage a virtual machine. They are different kinds of hosting, so neither is an overall winner for every site. Choose based on how much server administration you want, your site’s resource needs, and whether you can estimate and manage usage-based costs.
How Exoscale and FastComet differ
FastComet’s surfaced offering is shared Cloud SSD hosting managed through cPanel. Exoscale offers cloud compute instances: virtual machines that you configure and operate. Exoscale says its instances can run workloads such as web applications, but that flexibility also means more responsibility for setup and ongoing administration. FastComet’s plan page and Exoscale’s compute overview describe these distinct models.

That difference matters more than a simple feature count. Shared hosting bundles an environment for hosting sites; a cloud VM gives you infrastructure to build and manage. The latter can suit a custom deployment, but it is not a like-for-like replacement for a managed cPanel plan.
Which service fits your hosting needs?
Choose FastComet for a packaged cPanel plan
FastComet is the more straightforward choice if you want shared hosting rather than an environment to administer yourself. Its listed tiers vary by website allowance and storage, so check that the plan fits your number of sites and expected storage needs. The provider also publishes estimated monthly visit figures; those are its own plan specifications, not independent capacity tests.

Choose Exoscale for infrastructure control
Exoscale is worth considering if you want a cloud VM and are prepared to configure and operate it. Include the work of running the VM in your decision, not just the instance charge: Exoscale identifies storage, outbound traffic, and support as cost considerations as well.
FastComet’s listed prices and plan limits
The following figures were shown on FastComet’s pricing page crawled in the week before October 7, 2026. Introductory and regular monthly rates are shown separately; confirm the billing term and price offered at checkout, since the page extracts do not establish those details.

Why an Exoscale price cannot be compared directly here
Exoscale describes usage billing by the second or metered unit, with costs depending on the services and resources used. Its pricing information also notes that local storage is not included in displayed instance prices, that outbound traffic has an included allowance with charges possible beyond it, and that Built-In support is included alongside paid support tiers. The surfaced pricing page does not provide resolved instance-price values, so it cannot support a reliable Exoscale quote or an all-in total against a FastComet monthly plan. Check Exoscale’s pricing page for current inputs and terms before estimating a deployment.

For a meaningful cost decision, identify the VM resources and storage you need, expected outbound traffic, and whether you need paid support. Then compare that estimate with FastComet’s regular rate—not only its introductory figure—and verify both providers’ current billing terms.
Availability commitments are service-specific
Exoscale’s SLA overview lists a 99.95% uptime guarantee for Compute Instances and 99.99% for DBaaS. Those figures apply to the named Exoscale services; they are not a general guarantee for every Exoscale product. The surfaced material does not establish a corresponding FastComet commitment, so the percentages are not a direct uptime comparison. Review the applicable terms for the exact service you plan to use. Exoscale SLA overview.

Make the choice by management burden and workload
- Pick FastComet if you want shared cPanel hosting and one of its listed tiers fits your website count and storage needs. Check the regular rate and billing term before ordering.
- Pick Exoscale if you want cloud VM control and can handle configuration and operation, while accounting for storage, traffic, and any paid support.
- Do not decide on performance claims alone: the available information does not provide an independent benchmark comparing the two providers.
FastComet’s complete location options, renewal billing terms, and independently comparable support commitments are not established by the surfaced information. If your choice depends on any of those, confirm them with the provider before committing.
