Neither provider is a universal winner: eVPS.net’s listed offer is a European KVM virtual private server (VPS) for people prepared to manage a server, while InterServer’s Standard Web Hosting is a more conventional managed account for a website, email, and migration help. Compare those products by what you need to run—not by their lowest advertised monthly prices. Prices and features below were checked in October 2026.
Which service should you choose?
- Choose eVPS.net for a European KVM VPS if you want stated compute resources, root-level server control, and an EU location, and are comfortable taking responsibility for server administration. Its listed entry plan is €5 per month before VAT.
- Choose InterServer Standard Web Hosting if you want a managed hosting account with email, a control panel, weekly backups, and migration help rather than an unmanaged VPS. Its monthly plan is listed at $2.50 for the first month and $7 per month afterward.
- For a VPS-to-VPS comparison, compare eVPS’s specific KVM plan with the actual InterServer Cloud VPS slice count, management requirements, region, and any control-panel options. The two entry prices are not equivalent products.
Neither provider can be called faster or more reliable on the evidence available here: the cited product pages do not establish comparable independent performance tests or uptime measurements.

What are the actual products and prices?
The headline comparison can be misleading because it pairs eVPS’s VPS offer with two distinct InterServer products: Standard Web Hosting and Cloud VPS. The figures below are from vendor pages checked in October 2026; confirm checkout totals, taxes, and terms before ordering.

| Product | Listed price and billing | Listed resources or features |
|---|---|---|
| eVPS.net KVM VPS | €5 per month for the entry tier; eVPS says listed prices exclude VAT. | 1 CPU core, 3 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe storage, 5 TB bandwidth, included backups, EU location. |
| InterServer Standard Web Hosting | $2.50 for the first month, then $7 per month on the monthly plan. The page also lists 6 months for $15 then $42 renewal; 12 months for $30 then $84 renewal; and 24 months for $60 then $168 renewal. | Weekly backups, unlimited storage and transfer as listed, email, DirectAdmin, migration help, and Cloudflare CDN. |
| InterServer Cloud VPS, one slice | $3 per month for the surfaced one-slice starting point. | 1 core, 2 GB memory, 40 GB SSD, 2 TB transfer, and root access. The page states managed support is included at 8 or more slices. |
These prices use different currencies, and eVPS explicitly excludes VAT. No exchange-rate conversion or like-for-like tax comparison is established here. InterServer also has a separate legacy hosting page listing a $4.95 monthly price, cPanel, and a 30-day money-back guarantee; do not combine those details with the newer Standard Web Hosting offer.

How do the hosting types differ?
eVPS.net: a VPS that expects server administration
A VPS gives you virtual server resources and more control than a typical shared-hosting account, but that control comes with administrative work. The eVPS listing describes KVM virtual machines and identifies an EU location. Treat it as the better fit when you specifically need a VPS environment and can handle—or separately arrange—system administration.
InterServer Standard: managed hosting for a website account
Standard Web Hosting is the closer fit for someone who wants a conventional account for a site and email, rather than responsibility for operating a virtual server. The vendor lists DirectAdmin, weekly backups, security features, migration help, and Cloudflare CDN with the product. This is a different service from InterServer Cloud VPS.

- Save valuable floor space: 6U wall mount server cabinet Dimensions: 13.78" H x21.65" W x17.72" D.Maximum mounting depth is 14.2"
- Keep critical network equipment secure: glass door and side panels are lockable to prevent unauthorized access. Front door can be installed on either side of the front of the cabinet to satisfy your door swing orientation preference
- Easy equipment configuration: Fully adjustable mounting rails and numbered U positions, with square holes for easy equipment mounting with top and bottom punch-out panels for easy cable access
- Durability: Made of high quality cold rolled steel holds up to 110lb (50kg) (Easy Assembly Required)
- PCI & HIPPA and EIA/ECA-310-E compliant
InterServer Cloud VPS: a separate server option
InterServer’s Cloud VPS is the relevant product if you want to compare virtual servers. Its one-slice starting point lists root access and Linux and Windows compute paths, along with control-panel options. The vendor says managed support is included at eight or more slices, so do not assume the one-slice entry plan has the same managed support scope as Standard Web Hosting.

Which location and virtualization details matter?
eVPS identifies Bulgaria as its main data-center location and lists an EU location for its KVM offer. It describes the facility as Tier 3+ and as certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013; those facility characterizations and certifications are claims by eVPS. InterServer’s surfaced VPS page describes US regions in New York City, Dallas, and Los Angeles. Check the region actually offered at checkout if your application depends on a particular location.

Server geography can affect latency and may matter for data-location requirements, but the cited material does not provide comparable independent latency measurements for either provider. A location listing alone is not proof that one will be faster for your visitors.
eVPS’s comparison explains that LXC containers share a kernel and are not cPanel-compatible, while KVM is fully virtualized and can install a full operating system, including FreeBSD or Windows. The package listing discussed here is KVM; do not assume the characteristics of one virtualization type apply to every eVPS plan. InterServer’s Cloud VPS page lists Linux and Windows paths, root access, and control-panel choices; confirm the OS, licensing, and support terms for the configuration you intend to buy.

What network, email, and backup terms should you check?
eVPS network and email policies
eVPS describes its VPS connection as shared at 1 Gbps and states a guaranteed speed of 100 Mbps. The shared 1 Gbps figure is not a promise of dedicated 1 Gbps throughput. The vendor also lists one IPv4 address and a /64 IPv6 subnet per VPS, plus a free cloud firewall.
Its FAQ says SMTP is blocked on 1- and 2-CPU packages and that sending more than 100 emails per day is considered spam under its policy. If outbound email is important to your workload, review the current policy and ask the provider about your specific plan before migrating.

Backups and restoration
eVPS includes backups with the listed entry KVM plan, while InterServer Standard lists weekly backups. The cited pages do not establish equivalent backup frequency, retention, or restore procedures across these products. Before relying on either service as your recovery plan, verify what is backed up, how long copies are retained, how restores are requested, and whether restore fees or limits apply.
How to make a fair VPS-to-VPS comparison
- Specify the workload. Estimate the CPU, memory, storage, and transfer your site or application needs; do not treat a slice count as interchangeable with another provider’s plan name.
- Match the deployment region. Compare the actual available locations with the audience or systems the VPS must serve.
- Confirm administration and support. Check what server management is included, whether you need a control panel, and what support applies to your chosen InterServer slice count or eVPS plan.
- Compare total recurring cost. Account for billing period, currency, VAT or other taxes, control-panel or licensing choices, and renewal pricing—not just the first payment.
- Check operational constraints. Confirm the operating system, virtualization type, email policy, backup retention, and restoration process.
- Test your own workload where possible. The listed specifications do not predict application performance, and the vendor pages cited here do not establish a comparable independent benchmark.
Verdict: which host wins?
For a buyer seeking managed hosting for an ordinary site, email, and migration assistance, InterServer Standard is the more direct fit. For a buyer who specifically wants a European KVM VPS with stated NVMe resources and is prepared to administer a server, eVPS is the more relevant offer. If your decision is between VPS products, compare configured resources, location, support, and recurring costs directly; the available information does not support declaring one provider the overall performance or reliability winner.
