The account is an early build story, not an independently verified product test or performance benchmark.
What sparked ShareFreeform
In a September 23, 2026, post on DEV Community, ReeseEJ says the idea took shape after looking through Y Combinator’s Requests for Startups list and noticing the line “AI hasn’t had its multiplayer moment yet.” The author already had a collaborative-app idea and a free weekend, which became about 4.5 days of actual work on ShareFreeform, by their estimate.

ReeseEJ also says they had a Claude Pro subscription during the build. The post does not establish that the subscription caused the reported pace, and the 4.5-day figure is the author’s estimate rather than an audited schedule.
One shared app instead of separate drafts
The defining choice in the post is that collaborators work in the same live app. ReeseEJ writes: “Every app gets a link the second it exists, and anyone with that link can hop in live with you.” As participants prompt changes, the author says, everyone using the link sees the same version change. The post also says version history can restore earlier states.

ReeseEJ contrasts this approach with what they describe as Lovable’s and Replit’s fork-and-merge collaboration: participants work on individual drafts or tasks, then fold changes together after acceptance. That is the author’s comparison; the post does not document a hands-on comparison or independently verify those products’ current behavior. It also does not explain ShareFreeform’s synchronization implementation, which the author says they chose not to disclose.
What the generator produces
According to ReeseEJ, each generated app has an isolated sandbox and its own storage. The reported defaults are React and Vite for the app, SQLite for data, and Node. The author says users can prompt to change those choices, but the post does not define which alternatives are supported or describe deployment, compatibility, or usage limits.

The post mentions connecting personal API keys to Unsplash as one way to make a sandbox more interesting. It does not explain how keys are stored, what users can access, or how the sandbox is secured. “Isolated” is the author’s description, not enough information to treat the setup as a security guarantee.
What ReeseEJ cut—and what remains unclear
Onboarding
The author says they left out onboarding so the prompt box itself would explain the product. That is a deliberate push toward starting directly in the app, though the post does not report how new users responded to that choice.

ReeseEJ withheld details of the synchronization and collaboration internals, citing competitive reasons and the fact that the product had not yet been tested through enough use. As a result, the account explains the intended shared experience, but not how conflicts, simultaneous prompts, or recovery work in practice.
Evidence of use
At the post’s publication, the author described a handful of early users, mostly friends, and said broader sharing had just begun.
