The title points most closely to KinCony’s B16: an ESP32-S3 controller with 16 relay outputs, 16 optocoupler-isolated dry-contact inputs, and support documented for ESPHome and Home Assistant. KinCony lists a 12 V DC supply and a maximum relay rating of 250 VAC/7 A for the B16. Those are manufacturer specifications, not an independent assessment of what is suitable for a particular load or installation.
What the B16 is designed to do
The B16 combines relay outputs with isolated inputs and additional interfaces in a DIN-rail controller. Its 16 channels can be used to switch compatible loads through relay contacts, while the inputs can report the state of connected dry-contact devices. The manufacturer lists Ethernet, Wi-Fi, RS-485, Bluetooth, USB-C, a display, an SD-card interface, and seven 1-Wire GPIO channels. See KinCony’s B16 product listing for its published specifications.

Sixteen relay channels do not mean the ESP32-S3 has 16 free GPIO pins dedicated to driving them. The model-specific ESPHome example uses I2C GPIO expanders for relay outputs and inputs, alongside the board’s other components.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
How ESPHome and Home Assistant fit in
ESPHome provides a B16-specific device entry and configuration example. The example identifies the board as an ESP32-S3, enables the Home Assistant API, and configures its W5500 Ethernet controller, I2C bus, PCF8575 expanders for inputs and outputs, and an RS-485 UART. Treat it as a setup reference; it is not a guarantee that a particular software version or installation will work without adjustment.
The Ethernet detail matters: ESPHome’s ESP32 platform documentation says the ESP32-S3 has no built-in Ethernet. The B16’s example uses an external W5500 controller for Ethernet. ESPHome also documents the ESP32-S3 platform’s 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, BLE 5.0, native USB OTG, and dual-core Xtensa LX7 architecture.

Other firmware options
KinCony also documents Tasmota and its own KCS v3 firmware, which it says supports Home Assistant auto-discovery through MQTT. The manufacturer lists custom Arduino, MicroPython, and ESP-IDF code as possible development paths as well. These are manufacturer-described capabilities, not independently verified compatibility results.

The F16 is a separate 16-channel model, not a higher rating that can be attributed to the B16. KinCony describes the F16 as having removable OMRON relays and publishes a maximum of 250 VAC/16 A or 30 VDC/16 A. Its listing gives 12/24 V DC supply options and 16 dry-contact inputs; the shop page’s default configuration is 12 V. The B16’s published maximum is 250 VAC/7 A, and its listed supply is 12 V DC.

| F16 | 16 removable OMRON relays; 250 VAC/16 A or 30 VDC/16 A maximum, according to KinCony | 12/24 V DC options; shop-page default is 12 V | ESPHome device directory identifies it as an ESP32-S3 16A removable relay board |
For the F16’s model details, consult KinCony’s F16 listing and its ESPHome device entry. The listed ratings are manufacturer claims, not independent test results. Removable relays are a serviceability distinction; neither the channel count nor the F16’s rating establishes that either model is suitable for a particular application.

- Confirm the exact model and SKU. B16 and F16 have different published relay ratings and supply information.
- Match the supply voltage, load type, wiring, and control scheme to the exact product documentation and the needs of the installation.
- Check which connections and network interfaces the project requires, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, RS-485, or Bluetooth.
- Review dimensions, enclosure, DIN-rail fit, and any included supply for the specific configuration being considered.
- Use the model-specific firmware documentation and confirm compatibility with the software versions and hardware in the intended setup.
The manufacturer pages document features and maximum ratings, but do not establish suitability for a specific installation. Application decisions require checking the exact model’s current documentation and installation requirements.
