The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-C5390DW is a print-only color inkjet aimed at small workgroups that value Epson’s rated 25-page-per-minute speed and high-yield ink packs. It does not scan or copy. Epson’s specifications make it a plausible fit for an office that already has those functions covered, but the published speed and yield figures are manufacturer ratings—not independent test results or a guarantee of day-to-day output.
What the WF-C5390DW is—and what it is not
Epson Europe describes the WF-C5390DW as a small-workgroup business printer and lists its function as print only. It is not an all-in-one: there is no scanner or copier function listed. If staff need to digitize documents or make copies at the printer, this model requires a separate device or workflow.

The European product code is C11CK25401. Epson’s North American page covers the related WF-C5390, product code C11CK25201. The names and codes are region-specific; do not assume that the US model, accessories, or supply part numbers are interchangeable with the European DW model.

Epson UK rates the WF-C5390DW at 25 pages per minute in both monochrome and color under ISO/IEC 24734, and 16 A4 pages per minute for duplex printing in either mode. These are manufacturer test ratings, not a measured prediction for mixed office jobs, graphics-heavy pages, or a particular network setup.

Epson Europe also gives first-page-out times from ready mode of 4.8 seconds for monochrome and 5.3 seconds for color. The “from ready mode” qualification matters: these figures do not describe startup from a powered-off state or every print job’s total completion time.
Which ink does it use, and how many pages do the packs print?
The printer uses four-color DURABrite Ultra pigment ink delivered in separate high-yield packs. Epson Europe lists approximate yields of 3,000 pages for L packs, 5,000 pages for XL packs, and 10,000 pages for the XXL black pack. Epson says actual yield varies with images printed and usage, so these figures should not be treated as guaranteed page counts.

Epson Europe’s headline says the printer can produce up to 10,000 monochrome pages and 5,000 color pages without changing supplies. That is Epson’s stated supply capability, not an independently verified result or a promise that every set of jobs will reach those totals.
Part numbers vary by market. European listings use C13T11-series codes for the WF-C53xx/WF-C58xx family; North American materials identify T10S, T10W, and T10Y designations. Check the exact printer model, country, and pack code before ordering. Epson America says its North American WF-C5390 is designed for Epson ink packs only, not third-party packs or ink; that statement is for the US listing and should not be read as a guarantee about every regional supply arrangement.

Is it a good fit for a small office?
It is worth considering when the office needs a dedicated color printer, already has scanning and copying covered, and can buy the correct high-yield supplies locally. Epson lists support for recycled paper, glossy media, envelopes, and labels, which may suit offices with varied everyday print jobs. Confirm the exact media types and weights against the specifications for the stock you plan to use.
Epson America gives a recommended monthly page volume of 5,000 pages for the related US WF-C5390. That is a US-manufacturer figure, not a confirmed equivalent rating for the European WF-C5390DW; check regional documentation before using it as a workload target.

Epson promotes lower power consumption, fewer supply interventions, and cost and environmental benefits. Those are manufacturer claims; the available figures here do not establish independent energy savings, total cost per page, or comparative environmental performance. To assess operating cost, compare genuine ink prices in your market with realistic yields for your mix of mono and color pages, and account for maintenance supplies and your actual print volume.
What to verify before buying
- Functions: Confirm that print-only meets your needs; the WF-C5390DW does not scan or copy.
- Supplies: Match the regional ink-pack code to the exact model before purchase, and use the approximate yields as planning figures rather than guarantees.
- Workload: Compare your expected monthly volume with the documentation for your regional variant; the 5,000-page recommendation cited above applies to the US WF-C5390.
- Media and capacity: Check the printer’s regional specifications for tray capacity, supported media sizes and weights, and any expansion options needed by your team.
- Service and upkeep: Epson UK’s support page provides downloads, manuals, FAQs, warranty options, and contact routes. US-family documentation lists a maintenance box, optional input tray, feed rollers, and cabinets; verify compatibility and what is included before purchasing any part.
Verdict
The WF-C5390DW’s strongest documented case is straightforward: a small office wants a print-only color machine with brisk manufacturer-rated speed and high-yield ink options. Its lack of scanning and copying rules it out as a standalone multifunction device, and the official figures do not establish real-world speed, print quality, reliability, or cost per page. Confirm the regional model and supplies—and compare genuine ink cost against your own usage—before committing.
