Gartner’s 10 November 2025 Magic Quadrant abstract names 16 evaluated vendors, but does not rank them as the ten best for every buyer. This guide uses that dated market set to identify ten platforms to evaluate, distinguishes vendor-published features from independently established facts, and gives you a practical way to build and test a shortlist.
How to interpret this 2026 shortlist
Enterprise CLM software can support agreement work across functions, from authoring and negotiation through execution, repository management, and post-signature obligations. The right scope depends on which contract stages and teams you want the system to cover. Gartner’s 2024 abstract describes CLM as an area of enterprise investment; its 2025 abstract notes organizations are pursuing cross-functional CLM strategies.

The ten names below are shortlist candidates, not a ranked top ten. Gartner’s 10 November 2025 Magic Quadrant abstract lists 16 evaluated vendors: Agiloft, CobbleStone Software, Conga, ContractPodAi, Coupa, DocuSign, GEP, Icertis, IntelAgree, Ironclad, Ivalua, JAGGAER, LinkSquares, Malbek, Sirion, and Workday. The ten included here are selected from that dated set to provide a starting shortlist, not because the abstract establishes that they outperform the six not profiled here. Gartner’s list is a market reference, not proof of fit for your organization.
Ten enterprise CLM platforms to evaluate
Feature descriptions in the first three rows are claims published by the vendors themselves, not independent validation. For the other candidates, the available source establishes inclusion in Gartner’s 2025 evaluated-vendor set but does not establish specific product differentiators.
#1 Best Overall
| Platform | What the available evidence says | What to validate in your evaluation |
|---|---|---|
| Icertis ICM Platform | Icertis describes contract centralization, ingestion of legacy and third-party agreements, structured searchable data, and AI-driven natural-language answers and insights. Its integration page lists pre-built adapters for SAP, Microsoft, Salesforce, Workday, Adobe Sign, and DocuSign. | Test migration quality and search against your own agreements; verify which adapters apply to your products, editions, and licensing, and how AI results are reviewed. |
| DocuSign CLM | DocuSign describes agreement search, AI-standardized data, role-based access, document generation, collaboration, workflow, a central repository, and integrations such as Salesforce and SAP Ariba. | Validate role boundaries, audit needs, workflow configuration, and integration scope using your specific contract processes. |
| JAGGAER contract management | JAGGAER describes AI-enabled contract management, native e-signature and DocuSign integration, and connections to SAP, Oracle, and Workday. Its positioning may be relevant when assessing contract work alongside procurement or source-to-pay processes. | Test how the contract workflow connects to your procurement processes and confirm which integrations and signature options are available for your configuration. |
| Agiloft | Named in Gartner’s 10 November 2025 evaluated-vendor set; product differentiators are not established by the available source. | Request demonstrations and documentation against your requirements; do not infer capability from inclusion in the market set. |
| Conga | Named in Gartner’s 10 November 2025 evaluated-vendor set; product differentiators are not established by the available source. | Request demonstrations and documentation against your requirements; do not infer capability from inclusion in the market set. |
| Ironclad | Named in Gartner’s 10 November 2025 evaluated-vendor set; product differentiators are not established by the available source. | Request demonstrations and documentation against your requirements; do not infer capability from inclusion in the market set. |
| LinkSquares | Named in Gartner’s 10 November 2025 evaluated-vendor set; product differentiators are not established by the available source. | Request demonstrations and documentation against your requirements; do not infer capability from inclusion in the market set. |
| Malbek | Named in Gartner’s 10 November 2025 evaluated-vendor set; product differentiators are not established by the available source. | Request demonstrations and documentation against your requirements; do not infer capability from inclusion in the market set. |
| Sirion | Named in Gartner’s 10 November 2025 evaluated-vendor set; product differentiators are not established by the available source. | Request demonstrations and documentation against your requirements; do not infer capability from inclusion in the market set. |
| Workday | Named in Gartner’s 10 November 2025 evaluated-vendor set; product differentiators are not established by the available source. | Request demonstrations and documentation against your requirements; do not infer capability from inclusion in the market set. |
Compare platforms against your contract operating model
Before vendor demonstrations, agree on which workflows are in scope, who owns them, and what a successful outcome must look like. A useful comparison covers these dimensions consistently across every candidate.
Workflow coverage and configuration
List the contract types and stages you expect the system to handle: templates and authoring, approval routing, negotiation, execution, renewals, and other post-signature work. Identify variations by function, geography, risk level, and counterparty. Ask vendors to demonstrate these actual paths, including exceptions and handoffs, rather than a generic happy-path workflow.
Rank #2
Repository, migration, and structured data
Determine how existing agreements will be brought into the system and how you will verify the result. Check search, metadata extraction, agreement relationships, version history, and export options. Test representative legacy and third-party documents, including documents with unusual formatting or incomplete metadata. Agree who will resolve migration errors and how the business will confirm the migrated records are usable.

Define the AI tasks that matter to your team—such as drafting assistance, clause or term extraction, risk review, summaries, or search—and test them against representative agreements and your own standards. Ask what users can see, how outputs are checked and corrected, and what controls govern access to contract data. A vendor’s description of an AI feature does not establish its accuracy or suitability for your clauses and policies.
Rank #3
Integrations and ownership
Map the systems that need to exchange data with CLM, including CRM, ERP, procurement, document tools, and e-signature. For every required connection, confirm whether it is native, separately licensed, or requires custom work; identify which team owns configuration and support. A connector name alone does not establish that your edition, data model, or desired workflow is covered.
Governance, security, and administration
Assess role-based access, audit records, data residency, retention, and access boundaries against your organization’s requirements. The product summaries available for these examples do not establish comparative security outcomes. Include security and privacy reviewers early, and request current vendor documentation for the specific geography, product edition, and deployment under consideration. Also establish who will administer configuration, train users, manage changes, and handle support after rollout.

Run a requirements-based evaluation
- Set scope. Name the contract categories, teams, stages, geographies, and existing systems that the first deployment must cover.
- Turn needs into test cases. Create representative workflows and agreements, including approvals, exceptions, metadata needs, integrations, and post-signature tasks. Define what a passing result means for each case.
- Choose candidates. Use the Gartner 2025 vendor set as one dated source for names to consider, then add or remove candidates based on your requirements. Do not treat inclusion in the set as a recommendation or ranking.
- Demonstrate with your scenarios. Have each vendor walk through the same test cases. Record configuration steps, manual work, role behavior, and any assumptions about integrations or licensing.
- Review migration and controls. Ask how legacy agreements are ingested, corrected, searched, exported, and governed. Involve the teams responsible for security, privacy, records, and integration ownership.
- Model the operating commitment. Identify the internal administrator, process owners, training needs, support model, and ongoing change-management work required for the proposed setup.
- Request a scoped commercial proposal. Give vendors comparable assumptions for users, volumes, agreement types, modules, and deployment needs, then review the actual quote and included services.
What public information does—and does not—settle
The dated Gartner abstract helps establish a market set, and vendor product pages offer examples of claimed features and integrations. Neither source type, as represented here, supplies a buyer-independent winner for every requirement. Public evidence reviewed for this guide does not establish comparable prices, implementation durations, or independently tested performance across these platforms. Obtain current vendor documentation and quotes for your geography and edition, and use a requirements-based evaluation before making a selection.
