Engage2Excel has expanded its StorONE storage deployment to manage more than 1PB of data across production storage, backup, virtual tape library (VTL), business continuity, disaster recovery and long-term retention. Fabrics4Clouds supported the multiyear expansion as the workforce solutions provider’s requirements grew.
How Engage2Excel is using StorONE
The reported deployment brings several storage roles onto one software platform. Engage2Excel CIO Patrick Elalouf said its teams use the same StorONE software across production, backup and disaster recovery, which he said makes the environment easier to manage as the business grows. The named workloads also include VTL, business continuity and long-term retention.

The figure is reported as more than 1PB of data by DataCentreNews UK in 2026. The reports do not specify whether that means decimal or binary petabytes, nor do they describe the underlying hardware models or exact system architecture. Fabrics4Clouds is identified as the infrastructure partner.
What StorONE FlashSpan does
FlashSpan, previously called Real Time Tiering, analyzes data access patterns and places information on different storage media according to usage. Its stated purpose is to reserve flash for data that benefits from its performance while placing other data on lower-cost media. In principle, tiering lets an organization use a mix of storage media for workloads with different access needs.

StorONE says FlashSpan can deliver up to 9x more effective storage from existing flash infrastructure. That is a vendor claim, not a reported measurement of Engage2Excel’s deployment. The available reports do not publish a measurement method, workload details, an independent test or a customer-specific flash-capacity figure. The 9x claim should not be read as a physical capacity increase at Engage2Excel.

The reporting describes a deployment expanded over several years as Engage2Excel’s requirements grew, and identifies its workload categories and infrastructure partner. It does not disclose the deployment’s financial terms, quantity of flash hardware, benchmark results or independent performance validation. The reports also do not provide enough detail to assess recovery times, capacity utilization or operating costs.

Fabrics4Clouds CEO André Mellul characterized StorONE as a platform that customers can “set and forget” and said it had delivered on and exceeded its technology roadmap. Those are partner assessments, not independent measurements. StorONE CEO Gal Naor framed the continued expansion as evidence of a long-term customer relationship; his comments also repeat the vendor’s storage-efficiency claim.
