Com2uS Platform says its existing Hive platform experience has been applied to more than 250 global games and that Hive has accumulated more than 980 million global users. Those company-reported figures refer to Hive’s history, not Axyl customers or users, and are not independent measures of Axyl adoption.
What features does Hive Axyl provide?
The Axyl product page describes services spanning player accounts, commerce, analytics, live operations, access controls and server functions. Its stated features include:

- Server functions: Use the named Tencent CloudBase Connector for cloud functions, data storage and file management.
Com2uS positions Axyl for solo and indie developers, smaller live-game teams, global launches and enterprise deployments, saying modules can be combined for different service scales. These are the company’s intended use cases, not independently documented customer results. The product page refers to cross-platform environments and major game engines but does not provide a complete compatibility matrix, so teams should confirm support for their specific engine and platforms before adopting it.
Is an AI agent required?
No. Com2uS says an AI agent can interpret natural-language requests and generate SDK integration code for tasks such as login and payment setup. The product page also says developers can write code directly, making AI use optional. Com2uS separately says Axyl supports a Codex plugin for natural-language prompts related to backend settings and core functions. These are vendor descriptions; the reviewed launch materials do not include independent tests of code accuracy, integration speed or productivity gains. How much does Hive Axyl cost?
The Axyl FAQ says beta access is free. Com2uS says usage-based pricing is planned after beta, but has not announced the rates or exact billing criteria. The pricing page for the general Hive Platform lists plans for that platform; it is not an Axyl price list and should not be used to estimate Axyl costs. For a studio assessing the service, total cost remains unknown until Axyl publishes its post-beta billing details.

Yes. The Axyl FAQ says existing games may continue using Hive v4, with support maintained. It says new games can choose between Axyl and Hive v4. This is Com2uS Platform’s stated continuity position; studios should verify any project-specific migration or support requirements with the company.

What should a studio check before choosing Axyl?
The launch materials do not provide a head-to-head benchmark against other game backend services, nor enough detail to establish which option is best for a particular game. A practical evaluation should cover:
- Whether the studio’s engine, platforms and required backend modules are supported.
- How much integration or migration work the project would require.
- Whether the analytics and LiveOps workflow fits the team’s operating needs.
- Availability by region, data requirements, and support or service-level terms.
- Expected total cost once post-beta usage rates are published.
