A failed attempt to link an EE account does not, by itself, mean the account is broken. EE has separate processes for adding another account in EE Business and linking a mobile or broadband product to an EE login. Start with the task you are trying to complete, then check the account details, verification step and permissions for that specific flow.
First, identify what you are trying to link
EE uses different labels and steps for different account tasks. EE Business’s Add an Account guide covers adding another EE account to an EE Business login. EE’s product-linking guide covers attaching an EE Mobile or EE Broadband product to an EE login. These are not interchangeable processes.

EE Business may also ask for an SMS PIN when adding a new number in account settings. That is a separate verification step from adding another EE account. EE Business

- Use the right login and task. For another account under EE Business, sign in to EE Business and choose My Account > Add an Account. To attach a mobile or broadband product to an EE login, use EE’s product-linking flow instead. EE Business EE
- Confirm the sign-in email. EE Business says the username is the email address used to register. If you are unsure which address you used, search your inbox for EE messages. EE Business
- Check the number or account number. Make sure you entered the identifier for the product or account you intend to link, and that you are using the correct EE login for it. EE
- Complete the verification prompt. For EE Business registration, the email verification link expires after 24 hours. Product linking can require an SMS to confirm a mobile number; adding a number in EE Business account settings also triggers a PIN by text. Check that you can access the email inbox or mobile receiving the code. EE Business EE Business EE
- Check your account role. An EE Business User cannot view or download bills or manage user controls. EE says an account has one Bill Payer role; ask that account holder if the task requires access a User does not have. EE Business
If sign-in or security checks are stopping you
EE recommends checking that you are using the registered email address and entering the password with the correct capitalisation. If the password is the problem, use EE’s password-reset route rather than repeatedly guessing. EE says too many incorrect attempts can temporarily lock an account.

A passcode prompt may appear when you sign in on a different device, from another country or after an unusual login attempt. Check the email account or mobile number associated with the EE login, including the spam folder, for the passcode. EE sign-in help

If linking a product on the website fails, EE’s documented next step is to try through the EE app. EE says a successfully linked product should appear straight away. For EE Business username or lockout help, EE lists 150 from an EE phone or 07953 966 250 from another phone. Its registration help also points to live chat and WhatsApp. Check the EE Business access guidance and registration guidance for the available routes, as support options can change.
