Motorola’s UK support specifications for the Edge 70 Pro independently list the Dimensity 8500 Extreme, Android 16, a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery and a 6.8-inch, 2772 × 1272 display with up to 144Hz refresh and 5,200-nit peak brightness. This corroborates specifications for that regional Pro, not identity with the India Pro+.
Camera: choose based on how you shoot
Pick the Pro+ for distant subjects
A 3.5x optical-zoom periscope camera gives the Pro+ a dedicated way to frame subjects farther away. The comparison reports up to 50x Super Zoom as well, but that is not equivalent to 50x optical zoom: the stated optical reach is 3.5x. The available sources do not provide independent comparative image-quality tests.

The Pro covers main and wide-angle shots
The India comparison lists a 50MP main camera and 50MP ultrawide on the Pro, but no dedicated telephoto camera. If your usual photos are standard or wide-angle scenes rather than distant subjects, the Pro’s reported camera setup may be sufficient. Megapixel counts alone do not establish which phone takes better photos overall.
Charging: confirm the regional version and accessory
The India comparison says the Pro+ supports 15W wireless charging and the Pro does not. Motorola’s announcement for the Edge 70 Pro confirms 15W wireless charging but specifies that its TurboPower 15W wireless charger is sold separately. Its 90W TurboPower wired charging also requires a Motorola 90W charger or higher, sold separately.

Regional support pages do not line up uniformly: Motorola UK lists 90W wired charging without listing wireless charging, while Motorola LATAM lists 15W wireless charging. Do not assume the feature is present—or absent—based on a phone name alone. Check the manufacturer specifications for the country and SKU you intend to purchase.
Battery, durability and software support
Battery claims are manufacturer estimates
Motorola gives the Edge 70 Pro a typical battery capacity of 6,500mAh and a rated capacity of 6,300mAh. It claims up to 78 hours of music streaming, 29 hours of video playback and 26 hours of gaming, based on its own testing. Motorola says actual results vary with network, settings, temperature, battery condition and use; these are not independent test results.

Weight and protection depend on version
The 91mobiles comparison reports 190g and IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810H protection for both phones. Motorola UK lists the Edge 70 Pro at 183g for certain finishes and 190g for acetate, so 190g should not be treated as a universal weight. Check the finish-specific and regional specifications for the model you are considering.

91mobiles says both phones receive three major Android upgrades and five years of security patches. Motorola UK’s support entry instead says “Up to 3 years” for OS upgrades and security patches combined. Because those statements do not match, rely on the support terms Motorola confirms for your exact regional model rather than treating five years as guaranteed.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the Pro+ if you want the reported periscope camera with 3.5x optical zoom or wireless charging, and you have confirmed that those features apply to the exact India-market SKU.
- Choose the Pro if the reported shared processor, battery and display suit you and you would rather avoid paying the dated price premium for zoom and wireless charging you may not use.
- Pause and verify before ordering if you are buying outside India, comparing imported devices, or relying on a particular charging or software-support feature. The Pro+ name and the international Pro name are not proven interchangeable by the available specifications.
This is a specification-based comparison, not a hands-on verdict. The strongest reason to pay more is the Pro+’s reported camera and charging additions; the strongest reason to choose the Pro is that the comparison lists much of the same core platform and display at a lower reported India price.
