DXC Technology has partnered with LangChain to expand governed AI agents for enterprise IT operations. DXC says its OASIS platform already uses LangGraph to orchestrate agents and is licensing LangSmith for agent development, evaluation and observability. The October 13, 2026 announcement also reports faster incident resolution across more than 500 measured use cases, but the performance figures are DXC’s claims, not independently verified results.
What the DXC–LangChain partnership covers
The partnership centers on DXC OASIS, which DXC describes as both an intelligent orchestration platform and an operating model for mission-critical IT operations. DXC says it uses LangGraph, LangChain’s open-source framework for agent orchestration, and is licensing LangSmith, which it identifies as tooling for agent development, evaluation and observability.

In the workflow DXC describes, agents respond to operational events, investigate issues in parallel and draw on specialized technology-domain capabilities. People remain part of the process when a decision calls for human judgment or approval. The announcement was issued by DXC Technology Company through PR Newswire on October 13, 2026; it describes a partnership and platform deployment, not a head-to-head product comparison.
What performance DXC reports
DXC says OASIS results across more than 500 measured use cases include a 95% average reduction in resolution time. It also reports diagnostic accuracy of 92% or better when checked against senior engineer judgment. The announcement does not explain the validation design, provide an independent assessment, or give sample sizes and baseline conditions for each incident category. Its examples should therefore be read as company-reported outcomes, not a guarantee for a particular customer or incident.

These are examples in DXC’s October 13 announcement. The release does not state how many cases of each type were included or how examples were selected, so the figures cannot establish typical performance across all customer environments.
How DXC says it governs agent actions
DXC says OASIS agents operate within defined authority. Before an action, the platform considers factors including reversibility, impact, verifiability and the agent’s track record; sensitive actions can be paused for human approval. DXC also says it traces agent decisions, tool calls and outcomes. The announcement describes these as platform controls but does not include an independent security or governance assessment.

For enterprise teams, the practical issue is not simply whether an agent can perform a task. It is whether its permitted actions, escalation points and records fit the consequences of that task. DXC’s description suggests a workflow in which routine actions can be handled within assigned authority while actions that require additional judgment or approval wait for a person. The release does not specify which actions are classified as sensitive or provide configuration steps for setting those boundaries.

DXC says agents can draw on system-specific and customer-specific information, its operational expertise and vendor documentation to ground their reasoning in the customer environment. It describes OASIS as model agnostic, interoperable with third-party and customer-owned systems, and able to select models according to workload needs such as quality, cost, latency and privacy.

DXC also says deployments can span public cloud, private cloud, dedicated and sovereign environments without redesigning the underlying architecture, while customers retain control of their data, workflows and operational capabilities. These are company descriptions; the announcement does not provide an architecture review or details that independently establish how those deployment and control claims work in a specific environment.

DXC says OASIS is in production and scaling toward 125 customer environments across regulated industries and multiple geographies. “Toward” matters: the announcement presents 125 as a scale target, not as a count of completed deployments. It does not identify customers, break down environments by region or industry, or state a timetable for reaching that number.

For organizations evaluating this approach, the announcement establishes the components DXC says it is combining—agent orchestration, development and evaluation tooling, operational context and human controls—but not a customer-level implementation blueprint. The decision points it highlights are the model’s fit for each workload, the deployment environment, and the level of approval and traceability a workflow requires. Teams would need implementation-specific evidence to judge performance, security and governance in their own setting.
