Its abstract identifies a familiar enterprise challenge: data divided among legacy relational databases, data warehouses, and data lakes. Hitachi Vantara’s 2022 product announcements provide context for the MongoDB Atlas reference, but the exact DSC recording and its detailed contents could not be verified.
What the DataScienceCentral listing says
The listing frames the business problem as difficulty unlocking value from data held in separate legacy databases, warehouses, and lakes. Its title connects that problem with Hitachi Vantara and MongoDB Atlas. The listing’s article link now redirects to the general TechTarget homepage, and no exact video or transcript is available in the cited sources. That means the listing establishes the topic and its framing, but not the session’s particular demonstration, conclusions, or outcomes. DataScienceCentral listing

Why MongoDB Atlas appears in Hitachi’s product context
In a March 16, 2022 announcement, Hitachi described Lumada DataOps and Pentaho 9.3 data-integration capabilities for connecting data across hybrid-cloud environments. The announcement named MongoDB Atlas among supported cloud data stores, alongside Snowflake, Teradata, Elasticsearch 7.x, and IBM MQ 9.2. It also described Data Catalog v7.0, based on IO-Tahoe technology, with data-quality capabilities and Collibra connectivity. These are capabilities Hitachi announced in 2022, not current compatibility or release guidance. Hitachi announcement, March 16, 2022

In practical terms, the Atlas reference points to a connector in the announced Pentaho integration context. It does not, by itself, establish that the webinar demonstrated a particular Atlas deployment, migration, performance result, or end-to-end architecture.

What “data fabric” means in Hitachi’s framing
Hitachi describes data fabric as an evolving approach to simplifying and integrating enterprise-wide data management and delivery across on-premises systems and multiple cloud environments. The vendor’s account includes connecting sources, ingesting and orchestrating data, transforming it, applying security, and processing it. This is Hitachi’s explanatory framing rather than a formal standards-body definition. Hitachi Vantara’s data-fabric explanation
Read in that context, the webinar title suggests an interest in how an integration portfolio and a cloud data store might fit into a broader data-management approach. The available listing does not establish the specific architecture or recommendations presented in the session.

Do not confuse it with Hitachi’s March webinar
Hitachi Vantara separately documented an on-demand webinar, “Optimize Your Data Fabric for Digital Innovation,” dated March 24, 2022. Its speakers were Radhika Krishnan, then Chief Product Officer at Hitachi Vantara, and Paige Bartley, Senior Research Analyst at 451 Research. The event description says it covered the state of DataOps in 2022, unifying and governing data, customer experience, data fabrics, and AI-driven data management. The sources do not establish that this March event is the same recording as the DataScienceCentral listing dated June 21, so the two should be treated as distinct. Hitachi Vantara March 2022 webinar

In its March 2022 announcement, Hitachi executive Radhika Krishnan said: “Unlike traditional data management solutions that lock customers into proprietary technologies, the Lumada DataOps and Lumada Industrial DataOps portfolio products augment any ecosystem to manage and govern data from anywhere.” This is the company’s description of its portfolio, not an independently verified comparison of products or architectures. The sources do not report a benchmark or evaluation of alternatives for the DSC session.
