To see whether your PC can run Dragon’s Dogma 2, compare its exact processor and graphics-card models with the current minimum and recommended requirements below, then check Windows, RAM, DirectX, and storage. Both tiers list Windows 11 64-bit and 16 GB RAM; the CPU and GPU requirements differ. Capcom’s FAQ directs players to the Steam listing for current requirements.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 PC requirements
The following requirements and performance notes are from the Steam listing, checked October 9, 2026. Requirements may change, so consult the live listing before buying or upgrading.

The listing separately specifies an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6800 to support ray tracing. That is a separate ray-tracing requirement, not the standard minimum graphics tier. These are published specifications, not results from an independent benchmark test. Source: Steam listing.

- Check Windows, processor, and RAM: Open Settings > System > About. Under Device specifications, find the processor, installed RAM, and system type. Under Windows specifications, check your Windows version and edition. The game lists Windows 11 64-bit for both tiers. Microsoft’s Windows device information guide describes where to find these details.
- Check storage: Open Settings > System > Storage to see your drives and available space. The listing recommends an SSD but does not specify a required capacity or drive interface.
- Check DirectX: Search Windows for dxdiag, open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, and read the System tab. The game specifies DirectX 12. Microsoft notes that Windows 10 and 11 include the latest DirectX version available for that version of Windows; see Microsoft’s DirectX version instructions.
- Identify the graphics card: Compare the exact GPU model in your PC with the listed graphics models. If your PC has a discrete graphics card, do not mistake its integrated graphics for the dedicated GPU. Check Windows graphics or device information, then verify the model with the PC or graphics-card manufacturer.
- Compare the exact models: Match both your CPU and GPU against the minimum row to assess whether the published baseline is met; compare them with the recommended row for the higher listed tier. Meeting a named minimum is not a guarantee of smooth performance in every scene—the listing warns that frame rates may drop under high processing load.
What laptop owners should check
Look up the exact GPU in your laptop rather than relying on a similar name from a desktop graphics card. Capcom cautions that mobile GPUs may perform worse than regular GPUs even when their names appear to meet a listed tier. Capcom also says onboard graphics and devices that share VRAM with system memory are not guaranteed. For a laptop near the minimum, seek performance information for that specific device before purchasing the game. Capcom’s FAQ includes these qualifications.

If the game runs poorly after changing settings
Capcom says the game may not run properly when its graphics settings exceed the PC’s capabilities. Its FAQ documents this configuration reset:
- Close the game.
- In Steam, open the game’s Properties, then select Installed Files > Browse.
- In the game folder, rename
config.initoconfig_backup.ini. - Copy
config_default.iniand rename the copy toconfig.ini. - Launch the game again.
This resets the configuration; Capcom does not say it will fix every launch or performance problem. See the Capcom FAQ for the documented procedure and further guidance.
