To download and install LSPDFR for GTA 5, use LCPDFR’s official download page and follow its recommended automatic installer tutorial. If you choose the manual route, extract LSPDFR and then RAGE Plugin Hook into the GTA V folder that contains GTA5.exe, then launch the game through RAGEPluginHook.exe.
Download LSPDFR from the official page
- Open the LSPDFR download page on LCPDFR and download the mod.
- For the standard setup, use the page’s recommended automatic installation tutorial: How to Install LSPDFR. LCPDFR says its walkthrough covers Epic Games and Steam versions.
- If you prefer to place the files yourself, use the manual installation steps below and also download the latest RAGE Plugin Hook from its official source linked by LCPDFR’s Installation Guide.
Install LSPDFR manually
Find the GTA V folder
Locate the game’s installation directory—the folder containing GTA5.exe. Both LSPDFR and RAGE Plugin Hook must be extracted there, not into a separate downloads or desktop folder. LCPDFR’s Installation Guide identifies this as the Grand Theft Auto V folder.

Extract the files in the right order
- Extract the downloaded LSPDFR archive into the GTA V folder.
- Next, extract the RAGE Plugin Hook archive into that same folder.
- If Windows asks whether to overwrite files, follow the prompts as directed in LCPDFR’s installation guide.
Check the installation
In the GTA V folder, confirm that these items are present:

Launch the mod and check that it loaded
- Start the game using
RAGEPluginHook.exein the GTA V folder. - Once the game loads, check the map for the marked police stations. LCPDFR’s installation guide describes those markers as a quick indication that LSPDFR is running.
Check compatibility before installing after a GTA V update
LSPDFR compatibility depends on the specific GTA V build, so an installation that worked before a title update may need a compatible mod or plugin update. LCPDFR’s compatibility log lists an entry dated July 19, 2026 for LSPDFR 0.4.9 Build 9695 and GTA build 3889; that entry also says BattlEye must be disabled to play. These are dated version notes, not a guarantee for later game builds. Check LCPDFR’s current installation information and its GTA V title-update compatibility log against your installed edition and build before troubleshooting or reinstalling.
