For a legitimate Windows download of DOOM Eternal, use its official Steam listing. Steam says the game requires a third-party Bethesda.net account, which you can link to your Steam account. Check the live listing for the current edition, regional availability, price and checkout details before buying.

Before installing, compare your PC with the requirements below and check the available drive space. Bethesda lists different storage amounts for standard and ray-tracing requirements.
Use an authorized storefront listing rather than an unofficial download. A current Amazon listing for a suitable PC copy was not established here.
Can my PC run DOOM Eternal?
That depends on the graphics mode, resolution, frame-rate target and quality preset you intend to use. Bethesda’s specifications are targets, not a guarantee of identical performance on every system. Compare your exact GPU and its VRAM, processor, system RAM and storage against the relevant row.

What are the minimum requirements for DOOM Eternal?
Bethesda’s standard minimum is aimed at 1080p at 60 FPS on Low settings. It calls for a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or Windows 10, an Intel Core i5 at 3.3 GHz or better or AMD Ryzen 3 at 3.1 GHz or better, 8 GB RAM and one of the standard-minimum graphics cards listed above. Bethesda assigns this standard configuration 50 GB of hard-drive space.
Ray tracing has a separate, higher minimum target: 1080p at 60 FPS on Low settings, Windows 10 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, an NVIDIA RTX 2060 (6 GB) or AMD RX 6700 XT, and 80 GB storage. Meeting the standard minimum does not establish that a system meets the ray-tracing minimum.

Does DOOM Eternal require a Bethesda.net account?
Yes. Steam’s listing says a Bethesda.net account is required and can be linked to a Steam account. The account requirement is separate from the game’s hardware and Windows requirements.

Bethesda’s standard minimum specification includes 64-bit Windows 7 or Windows 10, while its recommended and higher-target guidance names 64-bit Windows 10. The game’s published minimum is not the same as the storefront client’s system requirement: Steam’s listing notes that its client supports Windows 10 and later starting January 1, 2024. If you use Windows 7, verify Steam’s current client requirements rather than assuming the game’s older minimum means the current Steam client will install.
Bethesda also explains that printed PC packaging has older specifications: the supported OS list removed Windows 8.1, the minimum performance target was updated, more graphics cards were added, and recommended RAM changed from 16 GB to 8 GB. Use Bethesda’s updated support requirements when older packaging conflicts with its online guidance.
