Visualping’s clearest documented option for pages that require a fresh OTP is Device mode: sign in yourself through Visualping’s Chrome extension, complete the OTP in Chrome, and let checks use that authenticated browser session. Server-side pre-actions cannot receive or enter a newly issued OTP. Whether a particular Indian portal works depends on its session rules and access controls.
How Visualping handles OTP-protected pages
Visualping monitors changes to whole pages or selected elements. Its cloud monitors run checks on Visualping’s servers; local browser monitoring uses your device and Chrome. The two approaches handle authentication differently.

| Approach | How OTP is handled | Where checks run | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chrome extension, Device mode | You sign in and complete the OTP in Chrome; Visualping uses that session. | Your device and browser | Your device and Chrome must be available for local checks; sign-out or session expiry can require another login. |
| Server monitor with a captured session | An existing session is captured when setting up the monitor. | Visualping’s servers | The session is not re-synced after the website expires it, so a fresh capture may be needed. |
| Server-side pre-actions | Can replay interactions such as typing credentials and clicking, but cannot receive or enter a fresh OTP. | Visualping’s servers | It cannot complete a newly issued verification challenge. |
Visualping’s Actions documentation says its Cookie action can pass existing session cookies, which can be useful for pages with two-factor authentication. That is not the same as automatically receiving a new OTP or guaranteeing that a session will remain valid. See Visualping’s Actions help article and its February 13, 2026 guide to monitoring pages behind a login.
Which approach should you try?
If the site asks for a new OTP when you log in
Start with Device mode. Sign in through Chrome yourself and complete the OTP as usual. The checks then use that signed-in browser session rather than asking a server-side crawler to handle the new code. This is the most direct documented route for recurring two-factor authentication.

If you need checks to run on Visualping’s servers
A captured authenticated session may work while the website continues to accept it. It is not a permanent login: Visualping says server sessions are not re-synced after they expire. If the site invalidates the session, the monitor may start detecting the login page instead of the page you wanted to watch. Visualping’s guide says a server monitor may need to be recreated to capture a fresh session.
What to check for an Indian website
OTP support alone does not establish that an Indian portal will work. Visualping says its default crawl location is a United States (California) IP address and that other checking locations are available. A website that restricts access by geography, IP, or other security rules might behave differently from a normal browser session. Ask whether the target accepts the location used for checks; the documentation does not guarantee that a particular location will be accepted. See Visualping’s checking-location help page.
The cited Visualping documentation describes general login and location behavior; it does not report tests of a named Indian website. Compatibility for a specific portal, account type, OTP delivery method, and session lifetime therefore remains uncertain. Follow the portal’s access rules and confirm that monitoring an authenticated account is permitted.
Setup and recovery
- Choose Device mode for a recurring OTP challenge. Use Visualping’s Chrome extension and sign in to the target site in Chrome, completing the OTP yourself.
- Set the page or element to monitor. Visualping can watch the whole page or a selected element. Confirm the selection shows the authenticated content you actually need.
- For a server monitor, treat captured session data as temporary. If using an existing session or cookies, expect the site may invalidate them; server-side pre-actions cannot supply a fresh OTP.
- Check what the monitor detects after a failure. If it reports a change that looks like a login page, verify the session in Chrome or recapture the server session as appropriate.
- Check access location where relevant. If the portal restricts traffic by geography, ask whether Visualping’s selected checking location can access it.
Common problems and fixes
- The monitor shows a login page as a change: the authenticated session may have expired. For Device mode, sign in again in Chrome; for a server monitor, Visualping’s guide says to recreate it to capture a fresh session.
- The portal asks for an OTP during a server-side action: Visualping says the crawler cannot receive or enter a newly issued verification code. Use Device mode after completing login in Chrome, or use a server session only while the site accepts it.
- The page is inaccessible from a cloud check: the site may restrict the checking location or apply other access controls. Visualping documents a California default and other locations, but does not promise access to every Indian portal.
- The session works initially but later stops: the website may have expired or revoked it. A captured server session is not automatically re-synced; a new capture may be required.
Or skip the browser setup
For screenshots rather than ongoing monitoring, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server for developers. A GET request can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. Its clean-shot options accept consent banners like a visitor and remove 60+ known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each step can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers indicate the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents.
Example request, using the documented cURL pattern (replace the URL with the page you are authorized to capture):
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for the request options. It offers 1,000 screenshots a month free with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for the free plan.
