The current pricing page lists daily checks on Free and Lite, hourly checks on Essential, every 20 minutes on Business, and custom scheduling on Enterprise. Its help center documents interval choices as fast as every 5 minutes, but that does not mean every plan can use every interval.
ChangeTower’s check frequency by plan
| Plan | Frequency listed on pricing page | Monitored pages listed | Custom days and times |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Daily | 3 | Not listed |
| Lite | Daily | 25 | Not listed |
| Essential | Hourly | 100 | Available |
| Business | Every 20 minutes | 200 | Available |
| Enterprise | Custom schedule | Custom limits | Available |
These plan details are from ChangeTower’s pricing page; publication dates are not stated. The shortest interval shown there is the plan-level summary, not a guarantee that every monitor can be set to every cadence documented elsewhere.
Which intervals can you choose?
ChangeTower’s Help Center lists 15 interval choices: every 30 days, 14 days, 7 days, 5 days, 2 days, daily, every 12 hours, 6 hours, 3 hours, 2 hours, 60 minutes, 30 minutes, 20 minutes, 10 minutes, or 5 minutes. The schedule feature page says the plan determines the fastest interval, so treat the interval menu as the documented range of choices rather than a promise that all choices are available on all plans. The help material does not state a publication date.
An interval repeats at a fixed spacing. A custom schedule instead runs on selected days and times. Custom schedules are available from Essential upward; their times follow the workspace timezone. You can also start a manual check with Run Now. See ChangeTower’s custom schedule instructions.

How frequency affects monitoring and alerts
Frequency is configured per monitor, so you can check a time-sensitive page more often than a stable one. Changing a monitor’s frequency takes effect with its next check. More frequent checks do not automatically mean more alerts: alerts depend on detected changes or the criteria you set. If a page is edited several times between checks, those edits may be grouped when compared with the prior snapshot. ChangeTower explains this in its frequency help article.
Choosing a practical cadence
- Check more often: pages where a delay could matter, such as changing prices, stock availability, or bid deadlines.
- Check less often: relatively stable legal, policy, or disclosure pages.
- When unsure: ChangeTower advises starting with a middle interval, then adjusting after you see how often the page changes. This is vendor guidance, not an independent performance test.
For the plan-specific frequency summary, see ChangeTower’s website change monitoring FAQs.
