Yes. The Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Controller is listed by Nintendo as compatible with the original Nintendo Switch. The wired Rematch also works, but Turtle Beach says it must connect to a docked Switch or Switch OLED. Which version you have determines how to set it up.

Check the product name and packaging for “Wireless” or “Wired” before troubleshooting. The wireless controller connects without the wired model’s dock-and-cable requirement; the wired controller plugs into the dock. Their features also differ, so do not assume that a feature listed for one version is available on the other.

What to expect from each version
Rematch Wireless
Nintendo’s listing describes built-in motion controls and a rechargeable battery. It claims up to 40 hours of use per charge and up to 30 feet of wireless range. Those are manufacturer-stated maximums, not independently tested results. The listing also says the controller works with Switch 2, but its C Button is unavailable on that system.

Turtle Beach says the wired model has no motion controls and no NFC. It supports a 3.5 mm wired headset connection; whether in-game voice chat works depends on the game and its settings. See Turtle Beach’s wired controller FAQ for its stated compatibility and headset details.

Which one fits your setup?
- Choose the wireless model if you want to play without connecting a controller cable to the dock, or need motion controls.
- Choose the wired model if you play with the Switch docked and are comfortable with a cable running from the dock to the controller.
- For a Switch Lite, the wireless model is the compatible Rematch option listed here; Turtle Beach says the wired model cannot be used because the Lite has no dock.
