AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon each identify the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra as a 5G phone. That does not guarantee that a particular unit can be activated on your account or will get 5G at your address: the exact model, lock status, carrier eligibility, plan, and local coverage all matter.
What the major U.S. carriers list
The carrier pages below publish 5G information for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Their band lists are useful for comparison, but matching a band alone does not prove that a specific phone will work on a particular account or receive service in a particular place.

| T-Mobile | T-Mobile lists 5G bands n1, n2, n5, n7, n25, n28, n41, n66, n71, n77, n78, n258, n260, and n261. T-Mobile’s device page. | Check the exact model and its eligibility for the service you intend to use. |
| Verizon | Verizon identifies the phone as supporting 5G and 5G Ultra Wideband; its 5G information lists n77 and n78. Verizon’s device page. | Ask Verizon to verify the specific unit and your plan. |
These are carrier-published specifications, not guarantees of speed, signal strength, or coverage at a particular address. Band support is one compatibility check, not the whole decision.
Why your exact phone still matters
Model number and regional variant
“Galaxy S25 Ultra” is a product name, not enough information to verify every unit. Model variants and supported bands can differ by region. The comparison above is based on U.S. carrier materials; do not assume those band lists apply to international versions or carriers outside the United States.

- Advanced quad‑camera system: 200 MP wide main sensor, plus a 50 MP ultrawide, a 50 MP periscope telephoto (5× optical zoom), and a 10 MP telephoto (3× optical zoom) — giving flexibility from ultra‑wide through detailed telephoto shots, and strong performance in varied lighting.
- 5,000 mAh battery with 45 W fast wired charging, wireless charging (Qi2) and reverse wireless charging — balancing long battery life with flexible charging options.
- Durable, premium build: Titanium‑frame body, protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass, with IP68 dust/water resistance, ultrasonic in‑display fingerprint sensor, modern connectivity (5G, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth, UWB, USB‑C), and long‑term software support (Android 15 / One UI 7, promised 7 major OS/security updates).
T-Mobile’s T-Priority Compatible Devices List names the Galaxy S25 Ultra model SM-S938U1 for that specific T-Priority context. It is evidence for that listed use case, not blanket confirmation that every S25 Ultra variant qualifies for every T-Mobile service or plan.
Lock status, account, and plan
A carrier must accept the particular device, and the phone’s lock status can affect whether it can be used with that carrier. Account or plan conditions can also determine eligibility. Samsung’s U.S. Galaxy S25 Series Business Specification Sheet, whose information was current as of January 22, 2025, advises: “Check with your carrier for availability and details.” Samsung’s specification sheet.

Local coverage
Even an eligible phone cannot connect to a network that is not available where you are. Carrier specifications do not establish coverage at your home, workplace, or travel destinations; check the carrier’s current coverage information for the places that matter to you.

How to check before buying or activating
- Find the exact model number. Check the phone’s settings, box, or seller’s listing. Do not rely only on the “Galaxy S25 Ultra” name.
- Check whether it is locked. If the unit is locked to another carrier, ask about unlocking before you switch or activate it.
- Use the intended carrier’s current compatibility checker. Enter the exact model or, when requested, the phone’s IMEI. If the checker does not give a clear answer, contact the carrier directly.
- Confirm your account and plan. Ask whether the specific unit can be activated on your account and whether your plan includes the 5G service you want.
- Check coverage at your locations. Verify the carrier’s current coverage information for the addresses and areas where you expect to use the phone.
The carrier’s result for your specific model and IMEI is more decisive than a general band comparison, because the carrier can check device acceptance and account eligibility.
