Does the Roku Pro Series OLED Support Dolby Vision, HDMI 2.1, and Gaming?

Yes. The 2026 Roku Pro Series OLED supports Dolby Vision and HDMI 2.1, with 120Hz refresh and gaming features including FreeSync Premium, VRR, and Automatic Game Mode. For 4K/120 gaming, use one of the two HDMI inputs Roku identifies as supporting HDMI 2.1 at 120Hz; the TV, console, game, port, and cable all affect which features are available.

Dolby Vision and HDR formats

Roku lists Dolby Vision support on the Pro Series OLED, alongside HDR10+ and HLG. These are the TV’s supported HDR formats; the content and connected device must also support the format for it to be used. Roku’s U.S. product page covers the 2026 OLED models.

HDMI 2.1 ports and 4K/120 gaming

Roku lists all four HDMI inputs as HDMI 2.1. HDMI 1 supports eARC, while Roku’s product-information chart identifies two ports as supporting HDMI 2.1 at 120Hz. Use an appropriate 120Hz-capable input for 4K/120 gaming. Roku’s published information does not provide a console-by-console port map, so check the TV’s input information and console setup rather than assuming every port enables every gaming feature. Roku’s product page and comparison chart describe the port specifications.

Roku says an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable is needed to use all HDMI 2.1 features. If a high frame rate or HDR option is unavailable, check that the cable is suitable and that the console’s output settings and game support the desired signal; a replacement cable is not automatically necessary if the current one works. Roku’s TV user guide covers HDMI cable requirements.

Gaming features and refresh rates

The standard Pro Series OLED has a 120Hz refresh rate and supports FreeSync Premium, Automatic Game Mode, ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), and VRR (variable refresh rate). Roku describes ALLM and VRR as features that reduce input lag and screen tearing; that is a manufacturer claim, not an independent performance measurement. The actual output depends on the connected source, game, input, and signal capabilities. A 120Hz panel does not mean every game runs at 120 frames per second.

The separate Pro Series LX OLED is the model Roku identifies as supporting up to 144Hz VRR. That is distinct from the standard Pro Series OLED’s 120Hz maximum. Roku’s product specifications list the gaming features and distinguish the two models.

OLED care while gaming

Roku OLED TVs default to Low Power picture mode to help protect the panel and prevent burn-in. Roku advises against leaving paused games or menus displayed for hours and describes automatic panel refresh behavior. Follow the TV’s on-screen prompts for panel care rather than interrupting a refresh process. Roku’s OLED support guidance explains these protections.
