How the F-B100W connects to a phone
Casio says the F-B100W pairs with a smartphone over Bluetooth using the CASIO WATCHES app. The connection can automatically adjust the watch’s time and let you configure watch functions. Casio lists automatic time adjustment four times a day, world time for about 300 cities, life log data, time-and-place logging, and a phone finder among the app’s features. What you can use without a phone
The F-B100W also has functions built into the watch, including a step tracker, dual time, a stopwatch with 1/100-second measurement and up to 200 lap memories, a countdown timer, five daily alarms, and an LED backlight. Are all iPhones and Android phones compatible?
Casio’s US F-B100W product page points to support for iOS and Android, but the F-B100W pages reviewed do not give a model-specific minimum iOS or Android version. That means the broad platform answer is yes, but compatibility with a particular older phone cannot be confirmed from those product pages alone. Do not treat the iOS 13 and Android 8.0 figures listed in Casio’s operating-system guidance for the WS-B1000 as F-B100W requirements: those figures apply to a different watch model.
