Samsung does not list a Galaxy Note phone in its current lineup. Its latest listed flagship generation is the Galaxy S26 series, including the Galaxy S26 Ultra. That establishes that Note-branded phones are absent from Samsung’s current lineup—not that Samsung has made a formal announcement that the Note name is permanently retired.
Does Samsung currently sell a Galaxy Note phone?
No Galaxy Note model appears in Samsung’s current product lineup or its current security-update scope. Samsung’s UK buying guide lists Galaxy S models through the S26 generation and identifies the S26 range as its latest Galaxy S release. Samsung announced worldwide availability of the S26 series on March 11, 2026.

Samsung’s current security-update page lists Galaxy S26-series models for monthly updates and S22-series models for quarterly updates, but no Note model. That describes the models included in the current scope; it does not establish a precise support end date for every Note phone.
Has Samsung formally said the Note series is permanently discontinued?
The official Samsung materials cited here do not include a direct statement that the Galaxy Note series has been permanently discontinued. The careful conclusion is that Samsung currently lists no Note-branded phone. Those materials also do not establish whether Samsung will revive the name in the future.

What should former Note owners know about software support?
Samsung says its Galaxy security support extends up to seven years, a maximum that varies by model and market—not a guarantee for every Galaxy phone. Samsung’s February 2022 policy offered select devices up to four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades and up to five years of security updates; it named select S22 and S21 devices among those eligible. These policies should not be treated as confirmation of support terms for every Note model.
For an individual Note, check Samsung’s current update information for the specific model, country, and carrier. Samsung notes that update scope and timing can vary by model, market, and network provider.

What is the current Samsung alternative to a Note?
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is a current Samsung flagship worth considering if you are replacing a Note, but the product name alone does not establish that it duplicates every Note feature. Compare the features you actually use, the model’s software and security support, and local price and availability before switching. Samsung’s S26 Ultra buying guide says the power adapter is sold separately, so include that accessory in your setup if needed.

What the evidence means for Note owners
- There is no Galaxy Note phone in Samsung’s current listed lineup.
- Samsung’s current security-update scope does not list Note models, but that alone does not specify when support ended for a particular phone.
- No formal permanent-discontinuation statement or future revival is established by the cited official materials.
- The Galaxy S26 Ultra is a present-day Samsung flagship option, but check its specific features against your needs rather than assuming full Note feature parity.
Samsung’s current update scope and its qualifications about model and market variation are available on its Mobile Security Updates page. For historical context on the 2022 policy, see Samsung’s announcement of up to four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades and its announcement of extended security updates.
