Usually, no: Marriott Bonvoy members receive complimentary in-room internet when they book through qualifying Marriott channels. The stated access level depends on tier—Member and Silver Elite receive Standard access, while Gold Elite and above receive Enhanced access—but hotel availability and reservation conditions matter.
What Wi-Fi access does each Bonvoy tier receive?
Marriott’s internet-benefit guidance, updated May 7, 2026, assigns these access levels to members, subject to what the property offers:

“Enhanced” describes the benefit category, not a guaranteed speed. Marriott says not all brands or properties offer both access levels, so a tier alone cannot establish the connection speed or service available at a particular hotel. Marriott: Information About My Internet Access Benefit

Which bookings qualify for complimentary internet?
Marriott’s internet-benefit article names Marriott.com, the Marriott Bonvoy mobile app, and Marriott Customer Engagement Centers as qualifying booking channels. Marriott’s broader description of official channels also includes direct booking offices at participating properties, but the Wi-Fi benefit article does not list that route in its specific channel list. If you book another way—or directly with a property and want certainty—confirm eligibility with Marriott or the hotel before relying on the benefit.

What conditions and exceptions apply?
- The benefit covers one guest room per eligible member per stay, even if the member reserves several rooms.
- The member must stay in the room and be the person paying the charges.
- Meeting rooms and event spaces are excluded from this in-room benefit.
- Property-level availability matters. Marriott says most properties offer high-speed internet, but some locations may charge, and not every property offers both Standard and Enhanced access.
These are Marriott’s stated program conditions; they do not guarantee that every rate, room, or connection at every hotel will be free. Marriott: Information About My Internet Access Benefit

How to check a hotel’s Wi-Fi before booking
- Search for the hotel and your dates on Marriott.com or in the Marriott Bonvoy app.
- Use the search filters for “high-speed internet” or “free high-speed internet” to narrow results.
- Open the hotel’s listing. In the app, check the Amenities section and its Internet Services details; Marriott notes that a charge may apply at some locations.
- If the listing does not make the price, room eligibility, or access level clear, contact the property and ask whether your specific reservation includes complimentary in-room internet.
Marriott’s instructions for checking property internet details are on its high-speed internet access help page. Verify the individual hotel rather than assuming that a Bonvoy tier guarantees a particular speed or that every reservation qualifies.
