Logitech lists Skype as Mac-compatible in the same table, but that listing does not confirm Skype’s current availability or whether a particular version offers background blur. Check the current app and macOS support information for the calling software you plan to use.
Why Logitech Capture and XSplit VCam are not a dependable Mac workaround
Logitech’s Capture page describes chroma-key features and a workflow using XSplit VCam. However, Logitech’s support compatibility table marks both Capture and XSplit VCam as not working on Mac. Capture’s listed system requirements include older macOS versions—macOS 11 on Intel and macOS 10.15 or 10.14—and do not establish current support for Apple-silicon Macs. Logi Tune, RightSight, and camera controls are different features
Logi Tune
Logitech lists macOS 13.0 or later as a desktop system requirement for Logi Tune. Its reviewed software page describes workplace functions but does not list background blur. Mac compatibility for Tune alone is not evidence that it can blur a webcam background. Logi Tune software information.

Webcam image settings
Exposure, white balance, focus, zoom, pan, crop, and other image adjustments change the camera image. They are not background segmentation or blur controls. Logitech’s webcam settings guide.

- Check the video-call app you intend to use. Look in its current video, effects, or background settings for blur or background replacement. Available effects can depend on the app version and macOS.
- If the app does not provide the effect, check third-party video software. Confirm that it supports your macOS version and Mac hardware, accepts your Logitech camera as an input, and can provide its processed video to the calling app.
- Test the complete setup before an important call. Confirm that the call app receives the processed camera feed and that the effect works as intended. Logitech’s guidance points Mac users toward third-party software but does not verify compatibility or guarantee an effect for a particular provider.
Should you buy a Logitech webcam to get background blur?
No. Logitech’s stated limitation is the lack of its own Mac background-replacement option, not a camera model that needs upgrading. A BRIO, C922, or another Logitech webcam may function as a camera, but that is separate from whether software can blur its video on your Mac.
