No. Galaxy Enhance-X is not automatically compatible with every Samsung Galaxy phone. Samsung’s current US support guidance says the app is supported on phones running Android 14 and One UI 6.0 or later. A Galaxy phone that lacks either requirement may not be able to install or use the app.
Samsung has also published an older, launch-era list of selected Galaxy models. That June 2023 list is useful historical context, but it is not a complete, current compatibility catalog. The reliable way to check a particular phone is to verify its Android and One UI versions and then search for Galaxy Enhance-X in Galaxy Store on that device.

What determines whether Galaxy Enhance-X works
Galaxy branding by itself does not establish compatibility. The key requirement in Samsung’s current US support guidance is software-based: Galaxy Enhance-X is supported on phones running Android 14 with One UI 6.0 or later. Both parts matter. A phone on Android 14 with an older One UI release does not meet the stated combination, and a phone with One UI 6.0 on an older Android release does not meet it either.
This requirement is Samsung’s current general guidance as of October 13, 2026. It is more useful for checking a phone today than a model list published when the app first launched. Samsung does not present that support statement as proof that every Galaxy model receiving those versions has identical access to every editing function, however. Menus and functions can vary with the model and installed software.

Why the model name is not enough
Galaxy phones span many years, price tiers and regional variants. Two phones with similar names can receive different Android or One UI versions, and software availability can differ by region or carrier. Even within one family, an individual device may be behind on updates or may no longer qualify for the required software.
For that reason, “I have a Galaxy S-series,” “I have a Galaxy A-series,” or another family name is only a starting point. Check the software installed on the exact handset and verify the app listing from that handset’s Galaxy Store.
Samsung’s historical launch list
Samsung’s US Newsroom announcement of June 28, 2023 named selected premium phones running One UI 5.1 or above. The announcement identified these families:

Samsung said in that announcement that Galaxy A-series phones, Galaxy M-series phones and Galaxy tablets would be supported later. This wording describes the rollout plan at that time; it does not establish the present status of every A-series, M-series or tablet model.

Why the 2023 list should not be treated as a current matrix
The launch announcement was published before Samsung’s current support requirement changed to Android 14 and One UI 6.0 or later. It names selected devices rather than every Galaxy model, and it does not confirm what happened to each model after subsequent software updates. A phone on the historical list may no longer meet current software requirements, while a model not named in that announcement may have gained support later.
Use the list to understand which devices Samsung initially targeted, not as a yes-or-no answer for a phone you own in 2026. The current software requirement and the live Galaxy Store listing are the stronger checks.
How to check your exact Galaxy phone
Perform these checks on the phone you want to use. They distinguish a software problem from a model or availability limitation.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Open Settings. Go to Settings > About phone > Software information. Samsung’s menu wording can vary slightly by device and software version, but this screen normally shows the Android version and One UI version.
- Record both versions. Confirm whether the phone reports Android 14 or newer and One UI 6.0 or newer. The requirement is conjunctive: the phone needs both versions, not just one.
- Open Galaxy Store on that phone. Search for Galaxy Enhance-X in the store installed on the device. Samsung identifies Galaxy Store as the download source.
- Read the result shown for the device. An install button indicates that the store is offering the app to that handset. If the app cannot be found, is marked unavailable, or cannot be installed, treat that as a device-specific availability result rather than assuming the entire Galaxy family is unsupported.
- Install and open the app, then check its tools. Samsung notes that displayed menus and functions may differ by model and installed software. The presence of the app does not guarantee that every enhancement option will appear for every image or every phone.
If Galaxy Store does not show the app
- Recheck the Android and One UI versions in Software information.
- Install all available system updates, restart the phone, and search Galaxy Store again.
- Make sure you are searching in Galaxy Store on the target phone, not relying on a web result or a listing viewed from another device.
- Check whether the phone is a regional or carrier variant. Store availability can be device- and region-specific, so a result on one Galaxy phone does not prove availability on another.
- If the phone meets Android 14 and One UI 6.0 but the listing still does not appear, Samsung’s public support guidance does not provide a complete model-by-model matrix. In that situation, the live store result is the practical availability check.
What Galaxy Enhance-X does
Galaxy Enhance-X is Samsung’s image-editing application. Samsung’s current support description lists tools such as Brighten, Sharpen, Restore picture and Increase resolution. The 2023 launch announcement also described Fix Blur, Remove Reflection, Fix Lens Distortion, HDR and Moiré correction.

The app does not necessarily show every tool for every photo. Some options appear only when the app detects an applicable issue, and Samsung says the displayed functions can vary by model and installed software. Therefore, compatibility has two layers:
- Installation availability: whether Galaxy Store offers the app for the exact phone.
- Feature behavior: which editing controls and results are available after installation on that phone and software build.
A phone can pass the first check while presenting a different set of controls from another Galaxy model.
How to interpret common phone categories
Galaxy S-series
Samsung’s launch announcement named the S23, S22, S21 and S20 families under the One UI 5.1-or-later condition. That historical inclusion does not override the current Android 14 and One UI 6.0 requirement. Check the exact model’s installed versions and Galaxy Store result.

The Note20 series appeared in the 2023 launch list. A particular Note20 must still satisfy the current software requirement to be considered supported under Samsung’s present guidance. The family name alone is not sufficient.

Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip
Samsung’s launch list included Z Fold4, Z Fold3, Z Fold2, Z Flip4, Z Flip3, Z Flip 5G and Z Flip LTE. These are historical launch-era entries. Foldable form factor does not create a separate compatibility rule; verify Android, One UI and Galaxy Store availability on the individual foldable.
Galaxy A- and M-series phones
Samsung’s June 2023 announcement said A-series and M-series support would come later, rather than listing specific models. That statement cannot be used to declare every A- or M-series phone compatible or incompatible today. Use the current software requirement and the device’s Galaxy Store listing.
Galaxy tablets
The same announcement said tablet support would come later. Samsung’s current support sentence is phrased for phones, so do not assume that a Galaxy tablet qualifies simply because it runs a recent version of Android or One UI. Check the tablet’s own Galaxy Store listing and Samsung’s device-specific guidance.

Supported software is not the same as a guaranteed identical experience
Android 14 and One UI 6.0 or later are the published baseline in Samsung’s current US guidance. They do not promise identical processing speed, editing controls or output behavior across all hardware. Samsung explicitly warns that menus and functions may vary by model and installed software.

- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.

A historical announcement is not a lifetime guarantee
The June 2023 announcement documented an initial rollout with One UI 5.1 or above. It was not a promise that every listed phone would remain supported indefinitely, nor was it an exhaustive list of all later additions.
“Available in Galaxy Store” is the decisive device-level signal
The accessible Galaxy Store listing does not expose a readable public compatibility matrix. That means a general web listing cannot replace checking the store from the phone itself. The store’s result reflects the device and account context Samsung is evaluating at that moment.
Quick decision guide
| What you find on the phone | How to interpret it | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Android 14 or newer and One UI 6.0 or newer; Galaxy Enhance-X appears in Galaxy Store | The phone meets Samsung’s published software baseline and is being offered the app | Install it and check which tools appear for your photos |
| Android or One UI is below the stated baseline | The phone does not meet Samsung’s current published requirement | Update if Samsung provides an update; otherwise do not assume the app will be supported |
| Versions meet the baseline, but Galaxy Store does not offer the app | Compatibility or availability is not confirmed for that exact device or region | Update Galaxy Store and the phone, then recheck; use Samsung support if the discrepancy remains |
| The app installs, but a tool is missing | Feature behavior may vary by model, software or the image being edited | Try another image and check for app and system updates |
Bottom line for Galaxy owners
Galaxy Enhance-X does not work on every Samsung Galaxy phone by default. Samsung’s current US requirement is Android 14 with One UI 6.0 or later, while its older launch announcement covered only selected S, Note and Z-series devices under One UI 5.1 or later. Neither Galaxy branding nor a family name is enough to confirm support.
For a dependable answer, check the exact handset’s Android and One UI versions, search Galaxy Store on that phone, and expect the available editing tools to vary by model, software and the image being processed.
