Yes—but it depends on the ROG product. ASUS sells ROG Strix LC all-in-one (AIO) liquid CPU coolers for desktop PCs, while a 2022 ROG product guide identifies liquid-metal cooling in certain laptop families. Those are different technologies, and neither means that every ROG computer uses liquid cooling.
What “liquid cooling” means for ROG
In a desktop PC, an AIO liquid cooler is a complete CPU-cooling assembly: a cold plate and pump move coolant through tubing to a radiator, where fans dissipate heat. ASUS lists those components on its ROG Strix LC III 360 ARGB LCD specifications page.

For laptops, “liquid metal” refers to a thermal interface material used to transfer heat. It is not the same thing as a desktop AIO with a pump, tubes, and radiator. ASUS’s 2022 ROG Product Guide identifies liquid-metal cooling for certain laptop families, but that historical guide does not establish what a particular model sold today uses. Check the current official specifications for the exact laptop.

ASUS sells ROG Strix LC desktop CPU coolers. One documented example is the ROG Strix LC III 360 ARGB LCD. It is an example of a ROG liquid cooler, not evidence that every ROG desktop includes one; a desktop may use a different cooling solution, and compatibility depends on the build.

- Confirm CPU socket support. Match the cooler’s current socket list to the socket on your motherboard. The example above lists AMD AM5/AM4 and Intel LGA 1851/1700/1200/115x.
- Check case clearance. Compare the case’s supported radiator placement and available space with the radiator’s full dimensions—394 × 121 × 27 mm for this model—and account for the fans and nearby components.
- Compare the cooler’s features and fit. Check radiator size, fan count, pump or display features, and any installation constraints against your build’s needs.
- Verify local availability and terms. Product availability and warranty conditions may differ by market; confirm them for the exact model and seller.
Do ROG laptops have liquid cooling?
Some ROG laptop families were identified as using liquid metal in ASUS’s 2022 product guide. That does not mean all ROG laptops use liquid metal, nor does it prove that a currently sold model does. Look up the exact laptop’s current official specifications for confirmation.
