If DocuSign doesn’t recognize the browser or device you’re using, it may ask you to confirm your identity with a code before the account opens.
Sign in on the web
- Open the DocuSign eSignature sign-in page at https://apps.docusign.com/send. Demo accounts use https://apps-d.docusign.com/send instead. If you’re not sure which kind of account you have, start with the production address.
- Enter the email address tied to your DocuSign account and select the continue (or next) button.
- Enter your password and select sign in.
Button labels can change with the language setting or interface updates, so follow the meaning of each step rather than the exact wording. DocuSign’s localized help article on logging in (the Portuguese version, last updated June 16, 2026) lists the same sequence: email, next, password, sign in. Its Spanish-language counterpart shows the same flow.

Forgot your password?
Enter your email address on the sign-in page, then select the password-reset link that appears in the sign-in flow. DocuSign’s official sign-in guidance names this link as the starting point for recovery. The published pages do not spell out each reset screen, so follow the prompts it shows you.

Verification when you sign in from a new device or browser
DocuSign says it may ask you to verify your identity when you sign in from a device or browser it doesn’t recognize. The support article on this prompt describes the following steps:
- Choose a recovery method from the options shown.
- Request a code.
- Check the channel you selected: email, SMS, or your authenticator app.
- Enter the code to complete verification.
If the code doesn’t arrive, use the resend option and recheck the channel you chose. Keep your login email address current and accessible, because DocuSign notes that access to that inbox may be needed for new-device verification. DocuSign also says persistent cookies can help your browser be recognized on later visits.

Some users can turn device verification off under Profile → Privacy & Security. Treat this as a setting you may or may not see, not a universal control.

Two-step verification and recovery methods
Two-step verification can add recovery options to your account. According to DocuSign’s support guidance, these can include email, phone, an authenticator app, or a trusted device. The methods you see depend on how your account is configured, so don’t expect every account to show the same list.
Organization-managed accounts
If your account belongs to a company whose domain has been claimed by DocuSign, your organization administrator can set login rules for your user. DocuSign’s Login Settings guide (last updated July 26, 2025) describes three administrator controls:

- Disabling new-device verification for password logins.
- Requiring two-step verification for managed users.
- Allowing a 14-day delay before two-step verification is enabled, when that setting is turned on.
If your organization enforces one of these rules, or requires sign-in through an identity provider, contact your administrator rather than changing consumer settings.

Signing in on the mobile app
DocuSign’s Support Center describes eSignature this way: “Use Docusign eSignature to easily upload and send documents for electronic signature from anywhere and on any device.” That confirms broad device access, but the official pages do not walk through the iOS or Android app’s sign-in screens, menu paths, or biometric options. On the app, follow the prompts it shows you, including any verification request, and use the web steps above as a reference for what each prompt means.
Troubleshooting

DocuSign’s official sign-in guidance does not establish clearing the browser cache, changing VPN settings, or turning off security protections as fixes, so don’t rely on them as first steps.
If you received a document to sign
Opening a signing link from someone else makes you a recipient, not someone signing into their own account. The sender may have added an access check to that document. That check is set by the sender and is separate from the account login steps above.
