There is no evidence here to name five VPNs that deliver a smooth connection to Ubisoft Connect, or to claim that any were tested. “UPlay” is legacy terminology for Ubisoft’s current player-services ecosystem and desktop app, Ubisoft Connect. If you are having trouble connecting, first check Ubisoft’s service status and update the client; a VPN is not a proven fix and must not be used to bypass regional restrictions.
What “UPlay” means today
Ubisoft Connect is the current Ubisoft player-services ecosystem and PC app associated with the legacy Uplay name. It supports games and account-related player features. This article uses “UPlay” to match the search phrase “best VPNs for UPlay,” but the current product name is Ubisoft Connect. Ubisoft Connect overview

Can a VPN improve a Ubisoft Connect connection?
A VPN routes your traffic through another server, which can add routing overhead. The available official information establishes no universal latency improvement for Ubisoft Connect and does not establish which VPN services perform best. There are no comparative measurements here to support a “smooth connection” ranking or a claim that five services were tested.
Connection quality depends on the route and conditions involved. A meaningful comparison would need to report the provider and plan or app version, test date, player location, destination or game-server region, ISP and access type, baseline without a VPN, protocol and VPN endpoint, and repeated observations of latency, jitter, packet loss, launcher login, and session stability. Vendor performance claims are not substitutes for those measurements.

Check these things before changing your network route
- Check for a Ubisoft service disruption. Ubisoft says the “A Ubisoft service is not available at the moment” error occurs when Ubisoft Connect PC cannot connect to Ubisoft Services. Check for a current outage or degradation before troubleshooting your own connection. Ubisoft’s guidance for this error
- Install the latest Ubisoft Connect PC client. Ubisoft notes that some service-unavailable errors result from an outdated client and recommends installing the newest version. Ubisoft’s error troubleshooting steps
- Follow the steps for your specific error. Once service status and client version are checked, use Ubisoft’s support guidance for the message you see rather than assuming a VPN will resolve it.
Ubisoft’s restrictions matter
Do not use a VPN to bypass regional restrictions
Ubisoft’s Terms of Use prohibit circumventing security controls such as regional restrictions through a VPN or proxy. Do not use a VPN to evade a game, store, or service region restriction. Ubisoft Terms of Use
Competition rules may impose additional limits
The official 2026 BLAST R6 rulebook restricts VPN software in the competition governed by that rulebook. That is an event-specific competition rule, not evidence of a general VPN ban across every Ubisoft game or ordinary casual play. Players entering a competition should follow its current rules. 2026 BLAST R6 rulebook

Take care when buying Ubisoft games or keys
Ubisoft recommends purchases through its own store, Ubisoft Connect PC, or approved digital distributors. Keys bought from unapproved sellers may be invalid or revoked, and purchases made across regions can be region-locked. A VPN should not be used to sidestep those restrictions. Ubisoft Terms of Sale
